The purchase price is not cheap and you would expect a quality product.I took the plunge and purchased one . I was expecting a Model that would need some minor tweaking in the area of the wing attachment and display stand.I am quite handy so I figured that any defects could be fixed.
The packaging was terrific and it protected the model during shipping. The Model that I received must have been assembled by someone who took pride in their workmanship. No gaps in the metal panels on the fuselage , the wings were a tight fit , and the display stand mount holes aligned perfectly. In fact the Model was perfect and it looks fantastic. So what I can deduce is that the quality of construction varies according to whom assembles the model. Quality control is hit and miss. I was lucky and got a perfect model. The odds of this occurring again is ???.
Anyway I love my DC3 model. It is up to you whether you take a gamble.
