Totally good for newbie as if the author knows what the readers' gonna ask. From Chapter to Chapter simple illustration which makes it easy to understand the commands. Currently using AutoCAD 2014 but this is already good enough for comprehensive learning.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

2.0 out of 5 stars but I thought to find it useful in get getting started with the LT version as ...
This book surprised me with its huge size. Its verbosity makes it just as befuddling for a somewhat beginner who has used an older AutoCAD LT PC version as is AutoCAD 2015 LT for Mac's online help. Both lack intuitiveness to the nth degree. How about fifty pages that are to the point instead of 889 pages that confuse. I realize that this book encompasses information for the full blown AutoCAD for Mac program, but I thought to find it useful in get getting started with the LT version as well since I could not find an instruction book that is 2015 LT for Mac specific.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2014Useless as tits on a bull for me. First of all, a caveat; I own AutoCAD LT 2013 for Mac, not the full blown version, so I don't need much of what's in here, but there is no aftermarket book specifically for the LT version. Then, before you even get to page 1, it tells you that the best way to use the book is to go through it with the files you can download from the web. NOT TRUE. I tried, and I'm fairly savvy at finding things like that. So I googled the author, thinking that I could get them directly from him, or maybe even have him fix his website. Turns out, he's dead. Sad to say (for his sake), he died this year, age 59 or so. I suspect his family figured that he's not making any money off the website anymore (who knows what else may have been there), so I think they took it down, rather than continuing to pay the monthly to keep the site alive. Anyway, the files are gone. Then, there is the fact that the book is considerably longer than the AutoDesk User's Guide you can download for free. I need a shorter version, to just get me going, something on the order of 100 pages, to jump-start me, and THEN, I would like a reference book for details that I need as I need them. I guess I should have guessed that when they said, 1 step at a time. So this book sits on my shelf as my cross reference for when the User's Guide fails to explain something adequately. Beyond that, see my first sentence.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2013The only book available on Autocad 2013 for Mac, and it covers extensively and practically everything. Excellent book for beginners and advanced users.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2013Excellent book that gives me something to work with in Mac environment. I recommend it for Cad users who love their Macs
- Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2014The printed material is very good and deserves a five star rating but unfortunately the tutorial files are no longer available for download. The website [...] is down and renders the book nearly useless. Perhaps Amazon and the Publisher can straighten this out.
