Critter Concepts automatic dog waterer is a patented, gravity feed waterer that holds 3.5 Gallons. This large capacity water dispenser is easy to fill because it fills from the top. No need to lift and invert a heavy plastic jug. And it is easy to move, rolling on 3 inch locking wheels. Child and senior friendly you can just roll the critter cooler to the water source, fill, and roll back out to the dog run, porch or yard. Includes FDA approved, food grade containers made in the USA with no BPA. The top lip of the 48 ounce raised bowl sits 7 inches off the ground. And there is even a little yellow drain plug so you can quickly empty, clean and re-fresh a drooly bowl which is not only practical but saves water. And we all know how vital clean water is for the health of our four legged family. You can clean every inch of the critter cooler, there is no place for bacteria to hide. Use soapy water, wipe and rinse for a quick clean. You alpha dogs may choose a more meticulous cleaning method and disassemble all the parts which are dishwasher safe. Does it get warm where you live? Here is an idea. Freeze a gallon jug of water and drop it into the critter cooler like a big ice cube. It keeps the water cool, dogs will love you and it also inhibits algae growth. And when it gets really hot, consider the optional chiller cover. This is an optional thermal cover that insulates the container, reflects the sun’s rays and multiplies sun protection. Are you rving with dogs? No tools are needed to assemble the critter cooler, it can be ready in less than 5 minutes and disassembles and packs just as quick for pets on the go to the park, event or show. Doggie daycare tested and virtually indestructible, since 2006, the critter concepts automatic water bowl has become popular with kennels, daycares, breeders, rescues and dog people and now it is available on amazon.

Only negative is the water bowl itself does get hair and dirt in it, but I found two solutions, 1) I close the valve and wait for our pets to drink the water down enough so I can wipe the bowl with paper towels & diluted bleach spray, it's quick & the bowl is clean afterwards, then all I do is turn the valve back on. This takes the least amt of time and effort. Method 2) I turn the valve off, carry the tank outside, gently turn it on its side to empty the bowl, give it a quick disinfectant wipe, return it to its proper place, turn back on the valve. This method can be tricky with unit full of water.
We are ordering another one to put outside on the patio, which will make emptying the bowl super easy, just pull the drain plug from the bottom of the bowl.
It was a nice bonus that the unit came with extra drain plugn & seal, and the seller included jelly for the seal, very well thought out. The instructions were easy-to-follow, highly recommend watching the video on closing the lid properly, yeah it's easy, watch it anyway.
Now...if you have dogs. You NEED this watering device. Take care with the lid and you'll be forever happy. The volume of water it holds is great for a multi-dog environment. My rambunctious and somewhat "special" Labrador cannot tip it over. Properly sealed it does not leak (I wish this was true of their tongues). And the wheels make it a dream to move around. I find it easy to fill and clean and other than the lid being difficult this is the best watering system I've come across for my dogs. The only thing better might by a year round stream, but that is not in the budget.
I too wish there was an inert that could be removed for easier cleaning of the bowl. Maybe one could be designed as an optional add-on?
