Author's Name: Guy Herman
Type of Book/Genre: Fiction
Sometimes we just encounter a certain book that you will fall in love with and I can say Avalanche is one of my favorites now.
I absolutely love this book. This is a certain type of novel that you cannot just jump into. The pacing is fast and great. Every page is worth turning to. The characters are also very intriguing from Professor Jack Dempsey and Hannah, his graduate's assistant and who would forget the irresistible Miss James. Guy Herman will guide you along with the adventure of the main characters into the Mountains of the Alps when a mysterious fatality takes place.
This story represents how the power of lust and sexuality change the morality and sanity of a person. Perhaps, this is the very first book I have read about accepting the innate urges that were hidden long before and which are real traits inherited from our ancestors. When a humans delve into their animalistic instinct they may easily find them devoured by hunger of blood and human flesh.
The strength of this book lies on how the author makes sure that each character is unique. Miss James attorney for the accused turns out not to be a one sided character who has successfully hidden the different sides of her own natural instincts and ever growing powerful attraction for the defendant. I was consumed by her feelings and felt that drawn with them in the tiny cell. You will definitely notice the wide array of ideas based on how the author defines psychology. Guy Herman proved his expertise in cognitive thinking and psychology as a whole. The use of cherry as an important link to a woman's scent is both interesting and provocative.
Avalanche is a very amazing novel. I certainly recommend this to all readers out there. It is beautifully written and mind gripping. Two thumbs up!!!
