I recently decided to make a change in my hair care due to scalp soreness and itchiness. I was wearing my waist-length hair in a dutch or french braid almost every day 8hrs a day at work and my scalp started feeling super itchy at the back and very tender. I decided to cut it to shoulder-length and just wear my hair down every day at work and change my shampoo for the itch. I mean I would just scratch absent-mindedly to the point where it felt raw. I was also worried about tension alopecia. I've been using this shampoo for about 4 months I think and it's really helped. I leave the shampoo in for several minutes while I attend to the rest of my bathing and then wash it out. The itch is nowhere near as bad as before and my scalp doesn't feel raw. That could partly be due to the change of hairstyle but I do think it's helped a good bit. I've noticed if I just avoid scratching AT ALL the itch stays away, but if I scratch a little, it tends to start an itching frenzy. My scalp is still a bit tender if I pull the hair near the back of my scalp, but I had worn the braid style at work for several years and I think the tenderness is just going to take a while to go away. You will still need conditioner because this shampoo is on little on the drying side. My hair also seems to tangle more easily. I alternate with Renpure Biotin/Collagen shampoo (which makes my hair super easy to brush) once or twice a week. I've noticed that my hair has more "poof" after I use this. Like, it's fluffy almost to the point of being a frizzball. I have very, very fine hair and it can be hard to maintain volume, but this shampoo definitely gives me some. It leaves me with that squeaky-clean feel. I think if your scalp issues are not too severe, this shampoo can be beneficial for you.

I'm doing cold capping to prevent chemo hair loss, so they recommended us to buy organic shampoo. I bought this one based on the recommendation of other cold cappers. I'm used to the overpowering smell of other shampoos that I always get compliments on the scent of my hair. This one doesn't smell that powerful and other people do not smell my hair. I did get dandruff for awhile (washing in cold water twice a week), but it eventually went away.

Hi all!! I never write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so about this amazing shampoo. This is the second time I have bought this, and I don't think I want to try anything else again.

The first time I bought this shampoo, I was searching for something for my thin, long hair that might help it feel fuller and healthier. My first impression was that it was very heavy on the essential oils, and thusly it took awhile for me to get used to the smell as it's pretty strongly herbal. I liked the consistency and lathering, and for me I use a pump and a half to lather up my thin, waist-length hair. I have not had any issues with lather, but I have very hard water so that may help where others have had issues.

It took me a long time to get through the first bottle, washing my hair daily, and when that was gone I was ready to try something else. I picked up a different brand from Amazon, and while using the different shampoo, I realized that this shampoo with it's extreme amount of essential oils was keeping my on again off again dandruff at bay!! My dandruff was coming back when I switched, so after using most of the new shampoo I placed an order for my second bottle of this one.

When I received the second bottle, it came packed very well, no leaking or anything, and when I pumped some product in the shower I was met by the old familiar heavy essential oil smell that I knew was going to keep my scalp and hair healthy. It was like seeing an old friend again.

I can't speak for the biotin making my hair stronger or anything like that, but it cleans well, leaves it shiny and pretty, and is an all around great shampoo. I don't want to use anything else anymore, and I will be trying the matching conditioner once I'm done with my massive sized grocery store brand.

I want to speak about those claiming chemical burns. I have NOT had this experience, but as I mentioned before, this shampoo contains heavy amounts of essential oils. If you are sensitive, I'd probably skip this one, but it works for me with no adverse effects. Even though essential oils are natural, that doesn't mean natural botanicals are without side effects.

I wish I could give this shampoo more than five stars, it will always be my favorite.

Best Hair Care I've Ever Used!

I've used so many products across the board because I am so picky with my hair. I've used everything from cheap to expensive because I want something that smells good, keeps my hair sleek and shiny, no frizz and doesn't grease up my hair. In my searches I've either experienced dry hair, harsh chemicals or (mostly big name brands) I end up losing a scary amount of hair with each use.

I found this stuff from the EWG "clean" products list (no chemicals or anything harmful) and I was skeptical because typically you think the natural stuff just doesn't work but I gave it a try anyways and OMG I LOVE this stuff! I pair it with the matching conditioner.

Since using (and I'm only about 1/3 of the way through my first bottle). I've noticed:
1. My hair is so much softer
2. It feels cleaner
3. It stays cleaner longer
4. I am actually growing new hair follicles and hair
5. I have almost no hair loss in the shower minus maybe one or two strands per use
6. My hair is shinier and feels stronger.

There's a lot of reviews about how it dries their hair out, but I am not seeing it. I pair it with a leave in conditioner/heat protectant though as I am hard on my hair (blow dry and straighten several times a week).

There's also a lot of reviews about how the conditioner seems thin. Yes it is thinner than you're probably used to, but that is because it doesn't have all the harsh chemicals and actually, it can be argued that it's better for it as it is easier to work through your strands and allow it to soak in better.

Seriously. Try it. If you don't like it switch back bur I won't be going anywhere!
