So, the good. It smells fantastic. I bought this hoping it would be a great scent for the holidays and it is. The peppermint scent is strong both in the bottle and in my washed and dried hair.
The shampoo and conditioner leave my hair feeling clean and soft and when I dry with the hair dryer, full of lift at the roots, with minimal use of my usual root lifter. I've attached a photo of how my hair looks air dried.
The bad. It is thick. If you live (or travel) to a place with low flow shower heads, both the shampoo and conditioner are very difficult to rinse out. I stayed in a hotel in New Mexico over the Thanksgiving holiday and had to fill the ice bucket multiple times to get enough volume of water to rinse my hair clean.
Also the warning to keep away from eyes is not a joke. The essential oils burn and tingle and leave a weird cooling sensation. As it is a product used on your head, it will naturally sometimes get into your eyes. Use extra caution.
I was really distressed about how my hair looked for the past six weeks and nearly had six inches cut off my hair last week because I thought the length was what was making it look so bad. I'm glad I didn't. Just a single wash with my old shampoo yesterday and when I walked past the mirror last night I did a double-take. My hair looked brown and shiny again. And not quite as flat. I guess a few more shampoos with the old one and it will start looking fuller again. Apparently this shampoo dries my normally very oily hair and the light doesn't reflect off it as well, thereby making the gray more obvious.
I'm glad other people are happy with it, but this one just didn't work for me. Rosemary oil may be a great product for hair in general, but there is at least one other ingredient in this particular shampoo that definitely doesn't do my hair any favors. And "organic" or not, if a shampoo says it amplifies or volumizes, it should do that--at least a little! This product helps some people, but didn't benefit mine.
This does not work for everyone, it can potentially dry your hair out and give little to no volume. contains a sulfate.

Unless I'm missing something in description it should be 2 bottles of shampoo. I received 1 of shampoo & 1 of conditioner. I wanted 2 shampoo. DisappointedPublished 13 days ago by Robert H.
The shampoo leaves hair clean without a lot of build-up and I LOVE the feel and smell of the peppermint in the shampoo. It really wakes me up in the morning. Read morePublished 17 days ago by Bill B.
Dries my hair out and makes it feel nasty! I do not recommend this product at all!Published 22 days ago by ANNA BATES
It seems a lot more watered down. Similar shampoos are a lot thicker but this one is watery.Published 23 days ago by Larry A. Chrispyn
Remove all sulfates and this would be perfect. The idea that coco-sulfate is any less harsh to people who are sensitive to sulfates is just silly.Published 1 month ago by Ally S
