I am a seasoned gamer and had almost finished Hogwarts Legacy (which I was amazed by and absolutely loved every minute of...) when I received Avatar: Frontiers for my Xbox X with the pre-order. I wasn't sure what to expect but once I got in it I was in awe of the environments, the game play is super fun, and I never get bored! I have been playing it for about 3 weeks now and I just want to live in Pandora and collect plants and fruits and hunt and cook and wipe out RDA oil & gas facilities!Funny thing...I work in facilities just like those in the game and OMG how I love to BLOW them UP! I get the greatest satisfaction from this game in watching those things go up in flames and explosions. Ha!

This game is really visually exciting. One of the coolest parts is going underwater. Another neat aspect is discovering food and fuel and the different plants. The graphics are amazing. My 11-year-old feels that it is a little hard. He has only played it a couple of times so far, but fighting off the bad guys can be tough since you only have a bow and arrow and your fists in the first part. He wishes that there was a multiplayer mode. He thinks there may be one if you complete the story mode.

The graphics, music and sound effects are excellent. If you enjoy an open world type game, I would encourage you to purchase this game. However, setting this game in the Avatar universe, on the planet of Pandora, makes it different and interesting enough. The traversal feels particularly good and the graphics and sound design are both really well done. Nothing truly groundbreaking but a fun way to spend a lot of hours because there's quite a lot of content!
