I started using this in college, when I could least afford it. It has never let me or my curls down. It's one of the best products I've found to add shine and control frizz, and that's saying a lot. I have naturally curly hair and it's fine, so it's very prone to frizz, plus I live in the Lowcountry where the humidity levels are normally in the 90% range, so I mean it when I say it controls frizz. Just use sparingly, you can always add more, but you cannot take it out or blow dry it out if you put in too much...so it takes a hot minute to learn how much your hair will actually need. But it works BEAUTIFULLY!

I just received this order, and something seems very off. I used this product for years and years and I know when something isn't right. For one thing, as soon as I took it out of the mailer I could tell immediately the jar was much, much smaller than it used to be. Same blue color, same lettering, but tiny. One jar used to last me over a year.

This product used to smell heavenly. That's one of the reasons I use it. I opened the lid and got hit by an odd chemical smell. There was only the barest trace of the former floral scent. Aveda is supposed to be known for their wonderfully scented products.

I have yet to use it on my hair, so that remains to be seen. If it doesn't work the same, I'm coming back and knocking off a star. I'm not accusing the seller of fraud or anything, it could be that Aveda is manufacturing it differently now. If it ain't broke don't fix it, Aveda. The Deva Curl products used to be great and then they got a new owner or something and went rapidly downhill. Don't be Deva Curl.

Very disappointing.
