Directions

Apply generously and evenly 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every 2 hours. Use a water resistant sunscreen in swimming or sweating. Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m.2 p.m.; Wear longsleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses. I have counted on this product for decades. It provides wonderful, complexion calming moisturization for my sensitive skin, and I enjoy the ease of having sunscreen included in the formula. My only disappointment has been that the SPF level of the sunscreen is only 15.
One bottle lasts a very long time. I learned just after this order that there is a newly updated version. Eventually I will order the new one, which I expect to be even better.

I'm a guy and have had dry, sensitive skin since I was about 25. I mean as in red and raw in the winter, and sometimes flaking off. I've used Clinique, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Shiseido, and various other products. I even had a doctor prescribe Metrogel for rosacea, but it completely dried out my skin. Clinique worked for me, but about every 4 to 6 months, it would make me break out as if I had grown sensitive to it. I had to switch off and go back on after a week or so--and it still never worked as well as Aveeno Ultra Calming.

I had had bad luck with other drugstore-type products, so I wasn't expecting much when I tried Aveeno, but that was about 4 years ago, and I've used nothing else since. My skin is clear, it's not dry and doesn't flake, and for the first time in my life (at least since my mid-20s), I don't look like I have rosacea. I don't know what they do, but this stuff is AMAZING! It costs less than all of those brands mentioned above, and it goes on smooth and is absorbed quickly by the skin. It's not oily, and there's no residue. As someone else mentioned in a review, I don't know what I'd do if they stopped making this product. It's incredible and easily better--at least for me and my incredibly sensitive skin--than products costing 4 to 5 times as much.

I also use the Aveeno Calming foaming cleanser, and I like that too, although I sometimes like to use something just a little stronger to get the top layer of dead skin off. Right now I use a Biore sensitive scrub every week or two, but for everyday use, I always go back to the Aveeno foaming cleanser.

I saw that someone mentioned that they discontinued the SPF 30 (2.5 oz). That's too bad, because it was an excellent product in its own right. It went on a little thicker than the SPF 15, and it was a little more expensive, but I liked to use it occasionally, especially in the summer--because most sunscreens make me turn bright red just from putting them on.

The best product for sensitive skin I've found, bar none.

I have sensitive, rosacea-prone skin and bought this because of the good reviews and because I was happy with other Aveeno products such as body lotions. However, I am very disappointed as this cream contains a lot of fragrance! I usually avoid all products with fragrance as my skin is so sensitive and fragrance causes irritations for many people with sensitive skin. Unfortunately I only noticed this when I first tested the cream. I had expected from an aveeno cream for sensitive skin not to contain fragrance. Besides, it says on the amazon page that it is fragranc-free, which is obviously incorrect!

It has amazing consistency, leaves beautiful not greasy but healthy glow. Doesn't leave any white cast. Works great by itself or underneath matte and dewy foundations. It mixes well with foundations for less coverage. It's everything I was looking for.
BUT:
It smells like sunscreen and like the calming ingredients, which I thought was ok as it doesn't have any added fragrance, but nope! It makes my eyes tear 20 minutes after application for many hours. I'll keep using it underneath makeup, since concealer makes my eyes tear anyway, till I find better alternative. :( I'm not shocked why so many reviewers wear disappointed by this product.

I use a lot of Aveeno products and swear by them but found this irritated my already irritated face. I get reaction to cold wind bit like sunburn even with screeen on so saw this for the face and thought great but actually it made things worse, Maybe my face was just in a very bad mood and anything would have irritated so will wait till it settles and give it a fairer try. Meanwhile bought a vegan product that soothes wonderfully and takes the inflammation down overnight. I also find I can then use Aveeno lotion with shea butter on the face although it is not specifically for the face. Was attracted to but disappointed by this product.

Only been using it for 2 days but am very impressed. Usually use clinique but they changed the formula in my moisturiser so thought i would vote with my feet. I have advanced rosacea and super sensitive skin so i tried this with trepidation. A lot goes a long way, it is very nourishing but sinks in quickly leaving your skin very soft with no greasy shine.
I'm now a convert and will try their other products too.

I am confused by this face cream as whilst it seems to moisturise my sensitive skin ok, it does smell like sun cream. However, I did not trust it alone as sun cream during the recent hot weather and when I applied my usual sun cream on top later in the day, my skin broke out in a rash. So I can only use it on days when actual sun cream is not required which is not ideal.
