The first thing I will say is to know the difference between dye ink and pigment ink. I bought this knowing that pigment ink stays on top of the paper and doesnt absorb into paper.
Bought this and decided to give it a try. Easy to use like any other ink pad. Coated the stamp very well and the transfer was very impressive. I waited a good two minutes than ran my finger over it and was happy that there was minimal to no smudging! I thought I was saved! Then I waited another 10 minutes, did it again, and was sad to see the chalky smudge. I thought it wouldve been smudgeless but it wasnt.
So would i recommemd this? Yes, but only if this is the type of ink youre looking for. If youre looking for a white ink that wont smudge, this is not what youre looking for. Youll have to use dye ink but the result wont be as white.
Solution: I did try the clear embossing powder method to seal the ink and it worked for the most part. The "thank" letters were thin so the ink dried before the embossing powder stuck to it. After using the heat gun, the "thank" was smearable and smudged on the other kraft gift bags. If you buy this ink and use this method to seal the ink, best to use thick fonts/designs.
So do I like this product? Yes, but i would have to emboss it to prevent the smudges making pigment ink usage a bit more tedious.
