Very easy to use by printing online at the Avery site. At first I tried to print within Word and in Photo Shop but couldn't get that to work.
I also bought the plastic applicator as I am all thumbs and had nightmares of having dvd's stuck all over my arms and ruining product. The applicator worked fine as well. I found the best price at Amazon. My local stores were more expensive and did not have enough product.
I tested on a blank sheet first to make sure it was hitting correctly on the page. Printed sixty (2 up). They look great.
I used a large sepia picture over a majority of the white label background.
You can also purchase colored labels from specialty shops but I have no experience with their quality and don't believe those are Avery products.
These Avery matte whites came out great.
Overall, I like the product, but I do have a couple of suggestions:
First, the current price really seems higher than it should be. While these are good quality labels that are likely made using more expensive materials and processes, I'm sure they couldn't cost nearly this much to produce.
Second, I wish someone would make Blu-Ray labels that cover the whole disk up to the hub, not just to where a CD's hub would be. I'd happily pay this price for those. The BD-R disks I bought actually have a brand logo that extends closer to the hub than these labels cover, which makes the finished product look much less professional.
Update: The price has gone down somewhat in the meantime, so it's a little more reasonable now. These are still about the best I've found for DVDs, and Avery still doesn't seem to make a Blu-ray version so these will do in a pinch for that too, though not ideal.
The product itself I really liked, though. Labels printed nicely & were very easy to apply to the DVDs without using any applicator. Other labels I've purchased curled and were difficult to apply to the DVDs correctly.
After looking at the picture of the item & the item description there is a discrepancy. In the Technical Details it states "40 CD labels and 80 jewel case spine labels" when in fact it is only 20 CD labels and 40 jewel case spine labels.

I never had luck when printing two labels. The bottom label never lined up with the template. The top one looked great, but the bottom was unusable.Published 1 month ago by Brad Presnell
Good quality labels, but I recommend having the Avery Label Applicator. It insures that the labels are fully centered, therefore properly balanced. Read morePublished 2 months ago by C. Caudle
Good labels but the templates available online did not translate well to the actual labels. Once we got that figured out the printing was fine and they attached to the discs with... Read morePublished 4 months ago by Damage Inc XLE
