Disappointing. The quality is not there. Specifically, the material is very thin. I could live with that although not for long time or frequent use. The clasps are not the traditional 2 prongs that spread apart. There's on only bend-over tab. I could live with that too. But the cover pockets are not closed on the inside edges. So every time I open the folder, the stuff in the pockets falls out. Deal breaker. I'd return it but I already used one to find this out. So probably not returnable. Oh well, it was cheap. In the end I went to a Staples store and they had their own store brand with none of these issues for 15 cents apiece. Half the price of these poor ones at about 32 cents each.

These report covers are well-designed. One side has a pocket and a pre-cut slot for placing a business card. The other side has a partial pocket. I use them to present vouchers and itineraries for my travel agency. They make a nice impression.

The folders are adequate, but they aren't great. If you plan to open the prongs to add papers more than a couple of times, I would not recommend these folders. If you can fill this once or twice and otherwise leave it alone, then these will be fine. The pockets will hold only a limited number of papers, (although this information was included in the description.so I cannot count that against it) However, the pockets are only attached on the outside. Where they meet on the side near the prongs, the pocket is open (unattached) - therefore it is more of a flap than a true pocket.

Good price but not as pictured. The binding is built in to the folder, not stapled in as shown in the picture. Normally I would prefer this, but I specifically ordered these because I thought they had the stapled binding.

I like these so much that I bought them again! The price is unbeatable for this dark blue color, and I happen to like not only the color, but the durability of them. I first purchased a box of these about a year ago and they're still holding up just as well as the day I put them use. As a college student, I like to rewrite and store each course's notes at the end of the semester. It preserves the hard work I've done and makes it easy to refer back to them when needed. They easily fit into hanging folders for quick retrieval.

Long Story Short (tl;dr): Rough-edged binder tabs sliced open fingers of 7 of my students.

Long Story Long...
So, I'm a grad student teacher instructing 94 seventh grade students on the subject of World History. Suffice it to say, I haven't a great deal of money to spend on school supplies (to be accurate, I'm *paying* $29,000 for the privilege of teaching them this year in order to get my credential). I thought these were a great deal. And they are... though buyer beware.

By the end of first period, a student came to me with a gash so deep a band-aid really wasn't going to be enough. I said, "oh my gosh - what happened?!" She reluctantly told me it had been the little metal tabs on the binder folder I'd given out. Was it on some obscure part of the binder? No - these are the tabs meant to be repeatedly bent upward (with your finger) in order to add 3-hole-punched papers to the binder. I quickly got her a couple of band-aids and sent her to the school nurse.

In second period, I handed out the folders with a strong caveat: "Be careful, kids! The tabs can be a bit rough - handle them with care so you don't cut yourselves. I already had one student in first period who had to be sent to the nurse." Now, kids being kids (and me being naive) they want to find out just how easy that is. It wasn't long before I had to cordon off a section of the room as a triage area. My room looked like a M*A*S*H unit. No, not really... but still! I started thinking about the economics of vertical product integration and began to wonder whether Avery is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson.

Perhaps needless to say, I didn't hand them out to my third period class. I'll save them for Day on the Green, and we'll have a nice bonfire.

As a teacher, I use a lot of pocket folders. I almost always buy them here because they are significantly cheaper and the quality is better than local retailers. I personally think the blue color of this one is a bit drab, but that is just my personal opinion. The folder is good quality and functional product.

These are a perfectly good quality, especially for the price and the amount you get in one order! I didn't exactly need 25, but they were still cheaper than getting less of the supposedly better quality folders out there. The brads in the middle are great for keeping three hole punched papers, and I have no problem with a paper folder over a plastic folder. It's thick paper, a pretty standard folder.
