Cora is your typical 19yro sheltered teenager who keeps running away every time something doesn’t go her way. (I only wish the authors would’ve made her a bit older because I’m having a really hard time digesting her age with Marcus.) She has caused several deaths and still doesn’t see that it was her fault, ever. She doesn’t understand anything Marcus does and it’s kind of annoying. Like hello little girl! You know he’s dark and mafia. You know he kills. This shouldn’t be a shocker to you at all.
The authors did so good, they got me invested in this bratty teen who aggravates me.
I liked this book. I like the writing and plot. No confusion about time line and what’s happening. I feel there was a lot of plotting between the authors and everything runs smoothly together. They don’t repeat themselves over and over again just to fill in the pages which I greatly appreciate!
I voluntarily read this book as a ARC and this is my honest review.
