What Just Happened?
This first installment had me glued to my seat, flipping pages until I finished it. It's an awesome read, paranormal, erotic, psychological, horrific, thrilling, suspenseful, mysterious and OMG the Steam!
Whoa! What a well written, easy to follow, and hard to put down story. TL Travis beautifully portrayed the characters and their backgrounds, the world building is consistent and picturesque in it's delivery. It's the unexpected turns and WTF twists that really blew me away!
Meet Jessica Cartright, Jess, as I will be calling her, is a simple - jeans, t-shirts, and tennis shoe kinda - gal, coming of age, loves sports, but unfortunately has two left feet. Sounds like me. LOL She is intelligent, easy on the eyes, witty, and snarky, she prefers simplicity.
She has so many intriguing factors that come in to play during her journey. She and her mom are as different as night and day, which Jess deals with on a daily basis. What other choice is there when you live with your parents? Not much if you want to maintain some kinda balance in the negative dysfunction.

When her first boyfriend re-enters her life, things start happening that seem to parallel her dreams?
Jessica has some terrifying scenes she goes through, they left my mouth agape at times. When she is engaging in self dialogue, I giggled envisioning the senereo ...
This is NOT a YA read!
The sex, as I mentioned, isn't as hot and in-your-face as her previous books, and that's a good thing here, because the sex fuels the plot, but it doesn't take it over. It leaves room for the intricate story Travis is weaving here.
There is a cliffhanger, so be warned. This is a book hangover inducing story, make no mistake, and you're going to love every minute of it!
Vampires are not heartless creepy cold walking undead on this earth. They are as complex and perplexing as any human, riddled with desires, emotion and aspirations for life.
TL Travis brings out such beautiful, exquisitely enthralling characters in complicated events that simply sweep you along currents of rapture! You won't want to stop reading through the pages if you share in my taste for reading. I know I didn't. ☺
Loved this story.
