Now, more than ever, it's vital that we take steps to assure humankind's progress. Our world focuses primarily on the negative, and every day we have a multitude of distractions at our disposal vying for our attention.
Important issues are brushed aside, and when addressed, it's done in such a pessimistic manner that makes little challenges seem like insurmountable difficulties.
We need geniuses, more than ever, to contribute to society and show the world that meaningful progress can only be done so through our collective effort.
I believe in a future where everyone can adopt the genius mindset, and challenge themselves every day to uphold themselves and those around them to higher standards.
We have the potential to be heard by millions of people around the globe in a matter of seconds today. Unfortunately most of us take this privilege for granted and post about trivial, superficial things that will hold no meaning a week later. Yet it's those types of things that society focuses on.
We need a new revolution today, an intellectual one. We need to shift out values and focus on tomorrow's world and building a brighter future rather than focus on today's trivialities.
This book does a great job of reminding us about what's truly important, that no one can take responsibility of our destinies but ourselves.
Would you dare to live an extraordinary life?
Is it really possible to live out your deepest dreams?
"Awakening Your Inner Genius" considers the concrete examples of many people who, by their actions and legacies, have more than faced up to these questions, answering them with a resounding, "Yes!"
I just finished reading the Kindle version of this excellent book upon the recommendation of an inspiring acquaintance that I met at a barbecue recently. It is not often enough that I have the pleasure of finding such fluidly and clearly articulated intellectual stimulation as I did in Sean Patrick's words.
Patrick's passion for having the integrity to remain true to oneself and thus to create an extraordinary life is eloquently and invitingly expressed in ardent, yet amiable style that exemplifies the unselfishness of the true leader and scholar - the autodidact - one who has learned to commit him / herself to the discipline of finding and imparting true wisdom, the kind of knowledge that when applied generates not only greatness in oneself but also the yearning to nurture the seeds of genius in others. This is an easy read, with the only real obstacle presented in its challenge to you to live out your soul's dream - to really live.
If there are any shortcuts to greatness, the first of them certainly is to be true to yourself, a second would be in collaborating with others whose genius and tenacity you admire and respect. A third shortcut may be found in reading about such people and learning from the lessons they have demonstrated with their lives.
A wise proverb states: "Buy wisdom and sell it not."
In the light of that wisdom, and its applicability to "Awakening Your Inner Genius," I recommend this wonderful book to all who dare to dream that their gifts really do matter and that they were not made to live mundane lives.
It has given me the desire and motivation to again move forward in my life.
I am making my granddaughter, a second year student in college, promise me
That she is going to purchase and read this book, NOW.
This book has awakened me from a hibernation to a desire to again achieve greatness. I
May be going to jail soon, but that will not be a hinderance to my commitment to again
Thank you Sean Patrick.
