At first the story seems interesting, but it dissolves into a litany around the oh so handsome Shep. There’s hardly a page without the heroine lusting after him; it gets really tedious. Of course the murder mystery gets solved. Nevertheless, the story concludes with a cliffhanger designed to push us toward buy the next book.. No thanks.

I liked the storyline of a person trying to escape their mob family past, innocently getting caught up in small town murder. The ability to sometimes see visions of the future, often causes trouble with humorous results. The book ends with the main mystery being fully resolved, but there is a slight cliffhanger revealed at the end to draw your interest in reading further books. This kind of cliffhanger I find fully acceptable. Yes I would enjoy reading more books by this author.

This is a cute Cozy Mystery with a heroine prone to uncontrolled, and intermittent, visions, some futuristic and some current. Our heroine is a spunky ex-mafia girlfriend. Our hero is a taciturn ex-cop turned mystery writer with washboard abs and incredible blue eyes. Together, they manage to solve the mystery of the murder of an award winning country artist. There's no sex, but a lot of melting hormones.
