Awkward at Times but Still Strong Entertainment
on November 20, 2014
Season 3 is a bit awkward. It is still one of my favorite shows and I hope that there are more seasons to come. I stay surprised at Ashley Rickards ability to make the viewer feel the proper emotions for the situations she gets into, just by her facial expressions. I remember only a few actors that could speak a whole scene with facial expressions alone and use no words, but Ashley can certainly do it.
The season waffles a little in the middle but has a strong finish. There were a few episodes that disappointed me a little, but not enough to turn me away. I still feel that this is a great program to watch for those of us who are older and are trying to grasp what today's younger folks are up to. It also continues to "take me back" to my days in High School and gives me a chance to think about how I would have handled some of the situations. The season is also filled with plenty of humor but not too much. I still would not recommend this show for children under 17.
