I have never been on such an exciting mind adventure, What I thought was going to be what I had read in the past was so incredibly different, so well plotted that it was seamless.
The characters are well written, the dialog is believable.
This story was a fantastic read. Sucked me into the vortex of it within seconds and held on until the end. I honestly did not want it to end. I am so glad that it is a series, and that there will be more. I cannot wait to continue on the adventure that I have just started.
I loved all the twists and turns and surprises. I felt a kindred spirit with the Main character. I sometimes feel like I am living a dead an empty life. I think this was fabulously written, and that if you pick it up to read, you will not be disappointed. Angels, shape shifters and more! It has it all.
The story was easy to slip into, easy to imagine, easy to fall in love with. I wish so badly this author was writing my life. Since she is not, I will settle for living through her characters vicarious.
I truly enjoyed this story every step of the way. I am given a lot of books to read free, a lot of them end up being misses more than hits. This story however, hit the head on the nail of deliciously devour able. I cannot wait to see more from this author.
Meghan has been living in the city for approximately 2 years, and you aren’t sure right away the exact details of why she is there. But you know this isn’t her natural habitat. She seems to have fallen into a rut and is somewhat content to not make any changes. Then one night, a single incident changes the course of her new lifestyle and kinda bumps her back into living again.
Meghan finds and seems to connect with two men unexpectedly. But not all is roses. Meghan makes some decisions for herself based on her history and the connection with the men - this is what moves the story along.
I enjoyed that Meghan’s character wasn’t a push over, nor was she the best at everything. She was written with flaws and fears, but strong enough to want to deal with issues instead of hiding. Also, for a RH, this was a bit of a slow burn. It almost seemed like one of the last scenes was added just to deliver some of the spice that tends to be expected in a RH.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Like others, I read the short description on this book and thought it might be a quick, alright read. I was extremely mistaken. The author has taken what often feels like a well-worn genre and kicked it into high gear with the suspense. It took me only a couple hours to power through because I honestly couldn't put it down.
Our main character, Meghan, has a past we only initially get glimpses of, and it makes her all the more interesting. She keeps everyone at arm's length, despite having plenty of interest from others at the bar she works at. Still, a chance encounter where she saves a helpless owl from attack thrusts her into a world she has all wrong and into a medley of very sexy, very reluctant men who spend a great deal of time trying to avoid the spell she's clearly cast over them all.
There's still so much more to the story we don't know, and so much to learn about each of our characters, that's I'm aching for the next installment.
Meghan May's world has been torn asunder and seeks refuge in the city where it is inhabited by angels that have sworn to protect humankind. With a chance encounter, Meghan soon is thrust into a world where Angels hunt shifters and any human that helps them are killed, definitely not a world Meghan new even existed.
When Meghan accidentally helps a shifter, she now has a target on her back and the Angels are now hunting her and she can only rely on are the three men who has vowed to help her.
I love a strong main character. Meghan is strong, sassy and resilient. The chemistry she has between Mox, Abriel and Tallow is hot. I love how the men tries to resist the attraction they have for Meghan. Great chemistry between the four of them, I love the plot. There's plenty of action, great intrigue and plenty of twists and turns! A definite must read. I can't wait to see what the next book brings!
