Got this to replace the cord that came with the Hubsan Zino drone that connected to my iPhone 7 plus. The stock cord had thick ends and the case I have on the phone has a dust cover and the cord that came with the drone would have required me to remove that case, which would have been a pain in the butt. This cord has smaller ends that don't impede with the case thus successfully connecting the controller to the phone. Drone works flawlessly with this cord.

Before using this with my iPhone XS Plus and DJI Spark, I would get maybe 200 feet before the video would cut out. The real-time video on the phone was laggy and would always cut out. I could never fly it out of line of sight and even on nice days the range was very limited. Now. It's night and day. The first time I plugged it in, it sucked and made it worse but here's the fix below. Buy this thing, follow the method below, and you will not be disappointed.

Prerequisite: Make your phone "forget" the DJI controller WiFi network. Usually by turning on the controller and then in the phone WiFi settings click "forget network".

Instructions:
1) Turn on controller
2) Turn on drone
3) let them connect
4) launch DJI app
5) Plug in cable to iPhone
6) plug in cable to DJI controller
7) DJI app will say "Go Fly" so click that

The video feedback will be instant and because the phone isn't using wireless bandwidth to talk to the phone the drone and controller will communicate better and you'll have awesome response through the whole flight.

I can now fly 1500+ feet away and down 200 feet from a hill with trees in between and can't see or hear the drone but the video signal still works perfectly.

I have been using this for a little bit over a month now and found out that it is unnecessary to buy a OEM cable to connect to my remote to my phone I slightly improved the clarity of the video transmission from the drone to the controller but absolutely unnecessary works fine without the cable most of the time I use it without the cable and less I’m using my phone that doesn’t have any cell service so that’s the only way that I do use this cable main problem is when you connect it to your iPhone you will get that annoying pop-up that says unknown accessory detected but besides that it does work but doesn’t do anything to improve.
