I've been using these for regular bike commuting for about six months now and so far I'm very happy with them.
I can carry a change of clothes, a pair or shoes, lunch, a U-lock, and a laptop (in a separate shoulder bag) and I have enough room leftover to stop for a few groceries on my way home. The material seems very durable and is showing no signs of wear so far, although I haven't been particularly abusive with it either. The rack attachment mechanism holds securely even when the bags are heavily loaded. I generally leave these attached to my bike, but they are just as easy to remove as some other "quick release" panniers I've tried - just pull up and out. While not billed as waterproof, I have ridden through moderate rain for up to 20 minutes and have only had a small amount of moisture penetrate. I use rain covers for heavy rain or when carrying electronics.
My only complaints:
- The velcro flap on the exterior pockets makes it somewhat difficult to get items in and out since it doesn't fully clear the pocket opening. I would prefer this to be zippered.
- There are no internal pockets for further organization meaning smaller items on their own (like my U-lock) flop around.
