Discover the life of Ayrton Senna, the legendary Formula One hotshot!
Little Ayrton was the second son of a wealthy family from São Paolo, Brazil. He always had skinned knees and bumps from where he couldn’t keep still. The only time he was quiet was sitting on his driver’s lap, grabbing the wheel.
Japan, Monaco, San Marino . . . He memorized every circuit, knowing each curve like the back of his hand. Ayrton’s mechanics loved reading his reports, which were always full of little tips and big ideas.
Ayrton won three World Championships and more than 40 Grand Prix. Still, it was nothing compared to winning in Brazil, his home! He ended the race driving with a broken gearbox, so exhausted that he needed help to leave the car.

Ayrton Senna was a child who needed to be on the go and this took him to go karting. He was an amazing racer and eventually moved on to racing cars, moving from South America to England to achieve his dream.
Young readers can be inspired by Ayrton; not only did he win but he cared about others and the safety of his sport. He was another little person who achieved a big dream.
This is another good entry in a good series. It is illustrated in a cartoon like and appealing fashion that goes well with the text.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
