This was truly one 'Red Hot' night with B.B. King & Friends that includes golden moments with: Albert King, Etta James, Eric Clapton, Gladys Knight & Stevie Ray Vaughan just to name a few. The surprise here is that you find ALL of these Friends in a relax setting that really sets the mood. The bad and sad part is that this has yet to see the light on DVD, so in the meantime this is worth seeking out and firing up your old VHS machine.

A special duet with ETTA and DR. JOHN singing ETTA'S hit song,"I'd Rather Go Blind" brings down the house.
Other duets with ALBERT KING and STEVIE RAY VAUGHN with "The Sky Is Crying" as well as all the other songs with B.B. King, make this video a musical feast for the soul. ENJOY !!!!!

It is impossible to overestimate this concert. It's truly amazing, not only because of the extraordinary gathering of musicians, but because of the dynamics between them. When B.B. King and Eric Clapton trade licks on "The Thrill is Gone," you witness the mutual respect of two virtuosos. The melodic interchange is enough to make you hairs stand on end. The same is true of Stevie Ray and Albert King's duet on "The Sky is Crying." It is so inspiring to watch a full-fledged pupil (like Eric and Stevie Ray) with his idolized mentor (like BB and Albert King). Their power will knock you out.
Etta James does a kick-ass duet with Doctor John that will send you reeling. But, most of all, keep an eye out for BB and Gladys Knight's treatment on Percy Mayfield's "Please Send Me Someone to Love." Gladys will make tears well in your eyes. Well, she did that for me. What a beautiful woman, and what a beautiful concert.

I have been going to concerts 38 years, this one is a "must see" and I havent found one that comes close. Why this isnt available on DVD is beyond me. This was a special treat that comes around far to little but you will remember the rest of your life. Doug

The awsome power of Chaka Khan's voice is realized as she wailes effortlessly,with more power than the complete horn section! Everyone in this video was simply outstanding! However, Khan's voice was the highlight. A must have for any "TRUE LOVER OF MUSIC"!
