Before you use this product, make sure your electric device supports the right voltage, for example, if your device says: "INPUT: 100 - 240 V", that means you can safely use your european electronic device with this plug adapter, here in the USA.
This IS NOT a voltage converter. This is a simple plug adapter that will take your european (& other) plugs, and make them useful with a three prone standard american plug, as long as the device supports the voltage of your location.

Because the Amazon photo on the page for the Type C adapter shows only the face for a 2-prong plug, I was thinking I might need a 2 prong adapter to cover the ground prong on the 3-prong plug of my laptop. However, when the adapters arrived I was relieved to find that all 3 plug adapter have two faces that you can plug into: the 2-prong face on a side, as was shown in the picture, and a 3-prong face on top.
Two outlets on each adapter make them more flexible and convenient as you can plug in two items at once, space permitting, or use a single outlet in areas where a lower profile is needed.
The only reason I didn't rate these 5 stars is because they could probably be made in a way that could fold flat or collapse to a more travel friendly size.
Otherwise, a definitely recommended buy.
These adapters should be pluggable into any Schuko type (France/Germany) outlet. The main side appears to accept plugs of the following types: North America grounded, Schuko (although there is no ground pin sticking out, so it won't be grounded), UK grounded (flat and round), Italian, and possibly others that I don't recognize. The secondary plug appears accepts North America two-prong, ungrounded Schuko (aka Europlug), and UK shaver plug. I only tried it with North American two-prong and Europlug plugs, so I can't say definitively that it will work with anything else.
As mentioned by others, this doesn't convert voltages, so make sure whatever you plug into it will accept the voltage of the outlet you plug it into. For devices that have rechargeable batteries, the AC charging adapter should say what voltages it accepts. Most chargers these days will accept 120v-240v, so you shouldn't need any kind of voltage conversion to charge your cell phones, computers, razors, etc. Anything that works directly off of AC current will probably need a voltage converter, which will be much more expensive.
