BABOR Lifting Derma Filler Serum for “elasticity & skin firmness” lacks artificial fragrance but has a subtle scent possibly from wild carrot or other plant extract. There’s potential to cause irritation, though my sensitive, dry, mature (55+) skin hasn’t had any visible irritation or negative reaction. I wouldn’t say this formula feels particularly comforting or hydrating on its own and instead it just feels rather neutral to me. But shortly after layering a good moisturizer over it my skin feels comfortable.
My face feels a bit tight at first (which I don’t like) but that feeling passes shortly after moisturizing well. I assume the tightness is from denatured alcohol, which I try to avoid as it’s drying and can make my skin look more wrinkled and irritated. But it’s low on the list here and my skin doesn’t get a cooling or burning feel or show obvious dryness or irritation that I get from products with more alcohol. While I’d prefer the alcohol wasn’t in the serum, my skin is tolerating what seems to be a small amount and it can help absorption of good ingredients.
This serum is clear, lightweight and non greasy. It absorbs quickly (likely from the alcohol) and doesn’t leave a noticeable residue. I use it on my face, neck and décolleté after cleansing, toning and spritzing with a little fine mist water (such as Fleuri, Vichy, Evian, etc.). I use just a touch of fine mist water before the serum as my skin and environment are so dry that I feel the hyaluronic acid (HA) needs some moisture to draw from for better plumping and smoothing. I like using a rich moisturizer after and at times use a couple drops of an unscented face oil last to boost hydration if needed.
So far, this serum does a great job quickly plumping my skin and minimizing and smoothing lines. My skin feels soft and has a firmer look and feel, even in problem lines around my mouth. I assume the fast plumping and more youthful appearance I see already are largely temporary benefits from the HA. I can’t yet judge long term benefits as they can take many weeks or months, but I’ll continue use as my sensitive skin tolerates this well and ingredients such as peptides may improve laxity and firmness with ongoing use. Love it. 5 stars. Made in Germany.

Feels nice and has helped some dry areas on my face
Doctor Babor Derma Filler Serum is a daily booster for smoother and plump-looking skin. It is designed for anti-aging and the lifting and firming of mature and dry skin.I'm a male in my 50's. People frequently say I look like I'm in my 40's (and sometimes even 30's!). This is because I have always taken care of my skin and face. As I am trying to live life and work and exercise and stay hydrated and fend off wrinkles and old age, I am always on the lookout for new items I can add to my skin care regimen. This serum falls directly into the category of things I am looking for.I have been using this serum for several weeks. Other than it has helped with some dry areas around my nose and eyebrows, I don't really notice a difference with my skin yet, but I will keep using it. Maybe my skin texture is a little better, but I can't really tell yet. I don't feel like it is doing anything negative to my skin.The serum has no smell and it has a slightly oily, but not greasy, texture that I actually find pleasant and soothing. The slightly oily feel goes away quickly. I have a thick beard that I put beard oil on regularly to keep the skin under my beard healthy and to keep my beard soft. This serum is less oily than the beard oil I use.This serum is very expensive, but I've grown to like it.

TOP QUALITY & MUST HAVE.
I am very fond of using Doctor BABOR products. With this serum, I also use Doctor BABOR Regeneration Rebalancing Toner. I like how this serum works with the toner by keeping my skin looking its best. It helps to keep my moisture barrier replenished and my skin adequately hydrated. With that proper hydration, my skin is smoother and softer. This is definitely what you want for wrinkle reduction and anti-aging. I find if I want results, I must be consistent and patient. Missing this serum's applications will slow the product's benefits on my skin.
I make sure my face & hands are dry before applying this serum. Then, I ensure the serum is absorbed into my skin before applying moisturizer. If I don’t, I get a sticky, icky feel.
HOW I USE:
1 - Cleanse my face,
2 - Apply [[ASIN:B0D7W6P74W Doctor BABOR Regeneration Rebalancing Toner]
3 - I apply 3-4 drops of this serum on my face.
4 - LAST, I finish with my usual moisturizer.

I always check for an expiration date before using, ESPECIALLY with health & beauty products. This product does not have one, which means the expiration is between 12-18 months UPON OPENING.
This Serum is as advertised, and works well. It is a bit pricey, which is a huge factor when I choose products, but for a professional brand product that gives results, I realize I will have to pay a higher price.
