...From the first page, this book delivers a fast-paced, page-turning suspenseful romance that readers will adore! There's a little tension and romantic jibing from the moment Sophie and Jack meet, which adds to the quirky yet serious mood this book sets. As the story unfolds, readers are thrown into a thrilling golf game and some very beautifully described Italian geography. The other positive aspect is that readers will not have to be knowledgeable in golf to understand what's going on, which adds to the charm of the book. Ms. Anderson has put together a book that both sports and suspense-romance readers can enjoy -- and it is a real page-turner to boot! -InD'TaleMagazine Reviewer
From the Author
We authors deserve to indulge ourselves by writing about what we know and love
. Now, I enjoy playing competitive golf. The game gets me out of my writing chair for some exercise and gives me a social life to boot. Why not write about the game and call it BAD LIES?
(Note: A 'bad lie' in golf is a horrible place the ball falls-on rocks, behind a tree, in thick grass. You have no recourse but to hit the ball out of that bad lie.)
The other way I indulged myself in BAD LIES
is by mining the knowledge and experience of my brother, a geologist, who does contract work for the government.
In this romantic suspense, Sophie is a late-blooming golfer, trying to kick a gambling addiction in favor of a career as a professional golfer. The danger dials up when I add Jack to the mix, a geologist doing classified work for NATO. He's supposed to caddy for Sophie, and in his off-hours, explore the haunted caves of the Amalfi coast.
So get ready for a page-turner, when Italy's caves and a golf course present Jack and Sophie with the worst 'bad lie' and the biggest gamble of their lives.
