I have been the biggest Baki series fan in the world, at the point of buying the whole series in Japanese just to keep up with the relentless action fighting that's presented by Itagaki Keisuke. Ever since the Anime series "Grappler Baki" (available in DVD by Funimation) ended. I waited 15 years for an official translation and finally, the wait is over.
Is it worth it? Of course, it is. The second series is the best part of the "Baki series" and the art, action, and storylines are the best intro of the series. If you like top-notch martial arts action, you'll find a lot to love in the Baki series. I'm buying the series all over again. It is worth it!!

A fantastic way to start a manga, five deadly convicts looking for Baki(or anyone) to learn defeat is a brilliant concept that I hope others author use. The art is going to take some time getting used to, the anatomy of these guys are bonkers, Baki has tree trunks as legs, but you know what? It fits perfectly with this world just like all the other crazy stuff that happens, And that's the brilliance of this series. I would highly recommend this, it's a good starting point, and this arc has significant potential to be an exciting read.

This has some stuff the anime does not. More gore is one. Plus they add little bits of information. That help people understand the story on a slightly higher level. The manga is a lot of people getting their butts kicked in. Making it a fun read for anyone who likes fighting stories.
