I have this scope mounted to my Marlin 357 lever action 1894C rifle.

It seems to hold zero well, I shot two boxes of 357 magnum and was able to hit water jugs at 50 yards pretty easily, shooting offhand.

I have never tried any of the more expensive holographic red dot sights, but for the $$ this one seems to work fine.

It is also nice and small, so it doesn't mess up the trim look of the lever carbine.

I didn't have the problem of not maintaining zero when switching between dot reticles.

This sight is good for the money spent. I have used multiple variations of Trijicon sights, and this one works ok in comparison of function and cost to a Trijicon reflex sight. This sight is not a hardened or armored sight, so it probably won't stand up to the abuse that a Trijicon is expected to take, plus, this sight is battery powered, so anyone on the business end of your weapon will spot the light emitted from the sight in extremely dark to black out conditions. The sight base mounts easily to a picinally rail system. The sight is flexibly mounted to the base. At first this concerned me, but this design prevents the seemingly delicate sight from being damaged when it is subjected to bumps and bangs. I have this sight mounted to an MP-5 variant, and it works well for close in work (out to 50 meters). The multiple reticle choices should meet most shooter's needs and the variable reticle light intensities work well to meet most light conditions. Sight adjustments are very easy, with the Allen wrench's (and spare battery) included. If you want a sight designed to take a lot of punishment, this sight is not what you are looking for. But if you want something for plinking or want a good, inexpensive sight that you are not worried about damaging, this one will work well.

I bought one of these sights to use for recreational target shooting with my Mini-14. The most serious drawback is that I can't keep the windage zeroed. The provided instructions are inadequate, so it's difficult to tell if I'm following the correct procedure for sighting it in, but nothing I've tried works.

There is small set screw on the right side described as a windage/elevation locking screw. With it loosened, the windage will shift suddenly by as much as 8" at 50 yards. Tightening it skews the adjustment somewhat--which would be OK if it stayed put--and it seems to come loose after a few shots every time anyway.

Second serious flaw: the various reticles do not align with each other. Switching from one to the other significantly changes the position of the dot in my sight picture.

Third flaw: on all reticle settings, the dot is somewhat fuzzy.

I can't really recommend this sight for any purpose except decoration. I'm returning mine for a refund and will eventually buy something of higher quality.

This sight works well on a Browning Buckmark. It was easy to sight in - just use the included allen wrench and turn the screws the direction needed to move the point of impact. It held point of impact well with each reticle and the reticles were very bright. Used for indoor range shooting.

I don't believe all the cartoon garbage reviews I have read about this little reflex and neither should you ! If you are one of those AR, or AK fans, move on. Anyone wanting this on a shotgun? Ok, try it on your 410 or 20. The rest of us with small calibers will be quite happy without your Eotech and Trijicon comparrisons.( As if anyone with a walnut sized brain would ) This reflex is excellent on any air gun, or 22, rifle or pistol. I would recomend it for 9mm also, and small ( 410-20 ) guage shotguns. It wasn't made for the prepper who runs through the woods dodging and rolling in his "Training Regemine" ( lol ). You kids who are reading gun magazines have no right to bash something you don't like because it doesn't look cool either. I have used this on two of my guns and it will co-witness on a Sig 522 with excellence. I have yet to change the original batteries. I also have a more expensive optic for my AR. I don't need a reflex for my 9mm. I use Leupold on my 308. It's not that expensive and I don't need to make a 1 mile + kill shot like any wannabe would. Take my advice, for a 22, if you can find a better reflex? Go buy it. Don't bash this one.

I shoulda checked amazon before i bought it. I got mine at Gander for 70 bucks but i still think it was a great deal. I threw it on my 870 and it works great. Holds zero well even with 3 inch slugs. Pretty much only use the small dot, i think its a 2 or 3 moa. Havent had a chance to go long range yet but from 30 yds i was blastin one big hole. Battery also lasts forever if you remember to turn it off, i think its rated for 50 hrs, plus they give you a spare. Also put it on my berretta neos (.22) and consistently shoot a 1 inch group standing at 15 yds.

I got this red dot sight at Big 5 for only $40, and it works GREAT for my ECHO1 mp5. All 4 recticals look and work great, it has a 3 MOA red dot, 10 MOA, small, cross, and a circle dot. It feels like its not gonna break for a while if u treat it properly. When u buy it it comes with the red dot sight, micro fiber cloth, extra battery, a rubber cover, and a cuple papers. Over all a great product for the price and extremly accurate on high end airsoft guns.
