*Update* After ~1500 rounds the windage adjustment knob grinds when turned. It still holds zero. Sending in a warranty calls for spending money on shipping plus $25. Not sure if it's worth it...
I shoot mostly 25 yard groups and small targets and this scope is sub par compared with my Simmons Proair in opitics for a lot less money.
If it holds up I'll have to declare it a bargain.
A little follow up.
It not only cooked off and turned to crumbs but Barska warranty leaves a lot to be desired.
The warranty card that came with the scope was returned as "Undeliverable" and there is not enough info in the manual or on line to
send your scope in for repair. You have to apply for a RMA# and if you send in your scope with out it it will be returned to you unrepaired on your dime. You need to included return shipping/handling and inspection fee when you send your scope in but good luck finding anyone that can tell you how much that will be so you can send it or provide you with the needed RMA#. All of this must be by design to deter returns. It doesn't have to be so complicated and hard to return.
Run to Wal Mart and buy a Centerpoint. Regardless of your expereince there, it can't be any worse that dealing with Barska
Update - Ive revised review to 2 stars. Had not been using the Hatsan for a while so put the scope on a XISICO XS28M .22 cal. After 10 shots or so the reticle started to rotate. Overall I got about 6 months of light intermittent use out of it. Won't be trying another. In these meantime a REX from Flying Dragon & Leapers get constant use on a NP2 & Gamo Bone Collector with no isseus The Rex was also used on the XS28 for several weeks with no issues..
The price was fantastic. And by the way, it's a pretty mean looking sight!
I see more barska in the future. I also have the 2-7 airgun version. It's a baby compared to this guy.
Windage and Ele. are click-positive adjustments that stay put.
From 5 yards to 200, Don't think too many people would know the difference between the Barsksa and a Leupy!
I would buy it again.
