BEST MODEL 3 DOOR SEALS!

I have currently installed on my Model 3 (mid 2018 early Vin 16K) and I must say I love the seals. I have tried the other P Seals and Z Seals individually on amazon and they just would adhere to the rubber or the paint very well. Yes is also said the rubber, they would start to peal away from the rubber side if I needed to try and readjust.

I want to make this very clear, the adhesive tape on the these seals is simply amazing.
These seals have other adhesive that is very super sticky and will not come up from the rubber or the paint either. Best part you can pull them up a reposition them if you need too before you give them a final press.
Add a bit of adhesive promoter and they will stick even harder which I did not use, but cleaned the surface very well with alcohol.

Key thing I noticed right away besides the adhesive is that these seals are much softer and allow the door to close versus the other seals being the same shape are much harder.
You can feel the difference in your hand once you get them. They will compress and allow you to close the door very nicely. I must say that my rear door requires a little bit of extra closing force but to be expected since I just added an extra seal.

Bonus:
These seals ends are actually finished and rounded off! Super clean look! Also the front doors are one piece from the lower part of the door up to the B Pilar. Very clean factory looking.

I did measure decibels to close front and rear doors stock versus adding these seals, I can say that stock closing decibels took approximately 70db, vs adding seals brought it down to 67db. You can hear the difference when you shut the door right away.

As for road noise I have yet to drive on the hwy so stay tuned.

Hope this helps, I was curious as to how these seals are different that the other seals on amazon for the Model 3 but they definitely are and work AMAZINGLY!

5 stars. Fast shipping. Fantastic instructions with QR codes leading to YouTube videos, easy to install, took about an hour end to end, sticks well, works great. Must have for every Tesla model 3.

Use the adhesive cleaning wipes, watch the videos, use the capped side of the rubber seal on top so water doesn't get through, allocate an hour, don't remove the red sticky tape all the way through. Just remove and stick inch by inch

I installed the door seal kit after I had installed the roof seal. The funny thing with the roof seal is it reduces the wind noise at highway speed but then you notice the door wind noise. Now that I have sealed with doors, I hear the mirrors at highway speed. In all though, it is a much quieter ride that compares to my Model S for quietness. Installation was not too bad. The hardest part was doing the front door A-pillar seal as you need to guide the seal behind the hinges and door harness. The packaging included simple instructions and links to quick videos for each position for how to install. I spent about a total of 1 hour installing. You just need a good pair of sharp scissors to cut around door drains and to cut off excess material. Very happy with the installation and quietness of the vehicle now.

Duty Free

It does reduce noise level on highway speed.

It took approximately 1 hour to install all weather strips. The hardest part is the A pillar on both front doors becasue that area is almost impossible to reach and align properly.

After the installation, I have test drove for 50+miles on freeway/local speed and this is what I felt about this product.

Yes, you will still hear road noise. Yes, you will still hear other car's engine sound. Yes, you wills till hear wind sound cruising on highway speed.

I don't have any noise level testing equipment; however, I know it does reduce the sound level in the cabin comparing without installation before.

I always listen to Spotify via bluetooth connection while driving on highway speed (+70 mph). In order to listen clearly with every detail of melody, I have to increase the volume to 3/4 of the sound level. After installation of the weather strips, amazingly, I only need to turn up the volume to 1/2 or less on the sound level to reach same level of clarity. Yes, it does reduce to noise level in the cabin on the highway speed.

This is by far the most efficient and cheapest method to reduce the noise level and I highly recommend to install this.

I've had these on the car for 8 months. Firstly, they make a small but noticeable difference to road noise. They're not fun to put on as they're pretty fiddly. I watched a couple of YouTube vids to help me with this.

There's one really good side effect of these that I like - the door paintwork between the seal and the interior stays really clean. That's a bonus.

However, there are two problems that fundamentally undermine this product. The first is a major one and could result in your car being broken into or stolen: the boot does not fully shut when the seal is applied unless you really slam it hard. On more than one occasion we returned to the car to find it wasn't locked and it turned out that the boot was open although it looked shut. In the end, we had to remove the boot seal to stop this happening. I left it there for three months and it didn't flex at all to allow the boot to shut as normal. Big problem.

Secondly, and an issue which is just annoying and can hopefuly be worked around, after 8 months, I've just discovered that the adhesive is starting to fail. I'll need to source something to reattach parts of the seals that are starting to disconnect. I've got some extra packets which I kept from the original install to tide me over before I can find something, but this really shouldn't be happening either.

FWIW, I'd not bother with these seals. They make a minor difference but don't look like being a long-term solution unless you can find something to keep the seals on permanently.

Lack of instructions causes major issues

The major issue with this product is the total lack of instructions. As a result, I installed the front door seals the wrong way around, and as the glue won't reseal, the product is now a complete waste of money for me.
In addition, the boot won't close with the seal installed, so I had to remove it.
Whilst, although the seals are pre-cut, they are not the exact size so it's necessary to trim them, which again leads me to wonder whether I've installed them correctly.
I bought this brand owing to the positive reviews, but I now wish I'd saved my money and gone for a much cheaper generic one.

UPDATE:
After a couple of weeks use, several of the seals have started to come loose. This is despite cleaning thoroughly before application and using the adhesive promoter. I'm therefore returning the item to Amazon.
