Hairs continuing to fall out after about 2 months. :/

With most brands that I've purchased, I would experience hairs falling out for the first week or so, then eventually all of the loose hairs would be out and I would be able to use my brushes with no problem. I've had these brushes for almost 2 months now and I still have at least 2 hairs fall out on every one of my pieces. (I make 9" x 5.5" wooden signs) What that tells me is that it's not an issue that there are some loose hairs that did not touch the glue like most brands, but that the glue is just not strong enough to hold the hairs in. The brushes are the perfect sizes. The largest brush is about the size of an adult's palm, which is perfect for larger projects. And the smallest is perfect for getting into corners on furniture. I feel that these brushes will have to be replaced somewhere around 10 months of usage and I'm looking for something a little more permanent. I really wanted this brand to work out because of the awesome price and perfect sizes, but I will not be purchasing this brand again. It's not worth all of the correction because of pulling hairs out and they're just going to have to be replaced too quickly.

I wanted to update an earlier review that I made where I stated I didn't like these.....I was wrong! I used them with a wax product that I didn't care for, but that's not the brushes fault! These make application of chalk paint easy-breezy! I really liked how the pieces turned out. I apologize for reviewing too quickly! Really simple to hold onto and the different sizes make it nice to get into tighter spaces, or corners.

Great brushes. I chalk painted and waxed a very large armoire. Through the entire process I lost four bristles in total using three of the brushes constantly for the entire project. I was also very pleased with how easily the paint brushes cleaned up. They looked like new.

If you enjoy picking bristles out of your paint, as I did the first time (and second time) I used these crappy brushes, than I would recommend buying these. If instead, you value your time, money, and ability to paint then I would recommend buying other brushes.

You get what you pay for, in this case.

For the high price that I paid for the brushes, I did not expect any bristles to fall out. It's sad that I have to pick the bristles out of my fresh coat of paint. I no longer use these brushes and found synthetic brushes that work beautifully. The bristles on the synthetic brushes do not separate and the bristles do not fall out. I do not recommend the Chalk2Chic brushes.
