BBQ Guru's CyberQ WiFi
The CyberQ WiFi by BBQ Guru helps solve 2 common problems: trying to achieve stable temperature in your cooker and accurately measuring your meats' internal temperatures.
Oven-Like Cooker Temperature Precision
Because the CyberQ automates cooking at precise low temperatures over several hours, it easily breaks down those tough, chewy protein fibers in meat called collagen, transforming your meal into that incredibly tender, tantalizingly juicy, and amazingly delicious BBQ we all crave.
Perfect Internal Done Temperatures
Because the CyberQ’s 3 digital thermometers constantly track your meats' internal temperatures, you can easily pull your food off the heat at the exact moment it reaches its peak of perfection!
With the CyberQ's WiFi capability, you can monitor AND control your CyberQ remotely from a web-based device such as your smartphone, tablet, desktop, or laptop. Once configured, it can alert you with an email, text message, or audible alarm when your food is done.

Top customer reviews
I am a software developer, and somewhat familiar with networks, so it was fairly simple for me to hook this up to my home network. Following the included instructions, I even was able to expose it over the internet by opening a port on my router (which I promptly undid).
This is an easy recommendation for anyone who wants to turn their BGE into a precision instrument for low and slow or just regular roasting. I’ll try to follow up with a longevity review in a year or so.
==============Review Update 1/23/2016==================
I've used this for dozens of cooks for almost a year now. I still like the product but the customer service is rather poor. The "pit viper" fan that comes with the kit is very cheaply made and one of the wire leads to it broke at the solder point. I certainly haven't been rough with it, and this is an item that is supposed to be weather hardened due to the nature of how it's used. Rather than ruin the $50 worth of lamb I had cooking at the time, I chose to resolder the joint, which worked.
When I contacted customer service about the issue, their only response was that since I resoldered the joint, it voids the warranty for the fan. Pretty pathetic, rating lowered from 5 to 3 stars.
If you have a smoker this supports, this will be the best investment you've made SINCE the smoker itself :) I, personally, have a large Big Green Egg, added the CyberQ, and haven't looked back.
Some of the best things about this particular model are:
Wifi Support - definitely the best feature! You can set this up to connect to your existing WiFi network (preferred) or directly connect to it on a WiFi SSID it transmits. To me, obviously, just having it connect to your existing WiFi network was the only way to go. It allows you to specify a specific port number, along with either automatically grabbing IP details (DHCP) or setting those manually (STATIC). What I did is go setup a free account with www.noip.com, then setup a pinhole/port forward on my home router to pass all traffic across that certain port directly to the CyberQ's static IP. Boom, now I can remotely control it outside of my home and off the wifi network :)
3 Food Probes - Not sure I will ever use all 3 at a time, as the large egg can only hold so much food, it is nice to have 3 options for food temp monitoring.
Automatic Set Points - Not only can you set the setpoint of the smoker itself, you can also set the desired food temps. What's really cool about this is, once it starts approaching the desired food temp, it will automatically reduce the set point to avoid overcooking the food. The setpoint of the smoker itself also maintains a very high degree of accuracy. Personally, I noticed about a +-5 degree variance either on the high or low side of the desired temp! Amazing! I just cracked the top vent roughly half-way, enough to allow the pit probe to pass through the top.
The Pit Pal - I can't speak highly enough of this little app! If you get the CyberQ, as someone else mentioned in a previous review, the Pit Pal is a must! This little app allows you to track all your cooks, in detail, charts out temp variances across the cook duration, can control the set points remotely, and alerting, the best part, they use a cloud server to send push alerts that come through even if your phone has gone to sleep. These can be timers, maximum temps, minimum temps, etc.. This enabled you to sleep peacefully for low & slow's knowing that if something should go wrong, you'll be alerted before you wake up and find the fire had gone out, etc..
An absolute MUST for any serious smoker who wants to do low & slows :)
