Airsoft Electric Gun (AEG) 552 style. New generation Hop-Up Version Airsoft Electric Gun with Heavy Weight feel that makes it more realistic and sturdy. Motor Driven by 7.2 Ni-CD Rechargeable Battery. It has selector switch for full auto or semi-auto. Comes equipped with adjustable red dot sight. It shoots at approx 200-250 FPS with semi or full auto feature. Note that No Laser Included.
A 1:1 scale replica of an SG 552-style AEG rifle, this Double Eagle airsoft rifle is remarkably authentic. The rifle fires round 6mm plastic pellets known as BBs, which are propelled out of the gun through an electric battery-powered motor. The advantage of the airsoft rifle, however, is that players can safely train, simulate, or play with the gun without fearing serious injury. The airsoft rifle looks, feels, weighs, and functions just like a real SG 552, but is built for casual recreation rather than weaponized use. In fact, the only way you can typically tell a real-steel firearm from an airsoft rifle is the blazing orange tip and the BBs that fire when you pull the trigger. The replica rifle offers such features as a ni-cad rechargeable battery; a selector switch for full auto or semi-auto settings; an adjustable red dot sight and flashlight; an adjustable hop-up system; and a foldable stock. This item is not for sale in some specific zip codes.

The Appeal of Airsoft Guns
Due to the law and the cost, people cannot always own their dream guns. Airsoft guns, however, provide you with a realistic replica, allowing you to own a shooting (albeit nonlethal) version of that weapon. In fact, many of the weapons you often see in movies and TV shows are airsoft guns, thanks to the relatively cheap price tags and precise realism. The directors simply digitally alter the images to incorporate the muzzle flash, sound, and effects to mimic the real firearms. Generally speaking, most of the popular real-steel firearms have an airsoft counterpart, including the Heckler & Koch MP5 series, the venerable Heckler & Koch G3 battle rifle series, Colt M16s, Steyr AUGs, SIG 550s, FAMAs, AK-47s, M60 machine guns, IMI Uzi and Ingram sub-machine guns, famed pistols like Barettas, Colts, SIGs, and Glocks, Benelli M2 and Remington 870 shotguns, and sniping rifles like the PSG-1, M40A1, and Blaser 93R. Even Hollywood guns like the RoboCop pistol and the M134 Vulcan--a six-barrel Gatling gun made famous by the Predator and Terminator movies--have airsoft counterparts.
The ability to own and play with your dream guns is appealing enough to many enthusiasts. The added advantage of taking these guns to a local playing field and "shooting" your best friends in a friendly competition is a hands-down selling point. There are countless clubs, teams, and organizations devoted to the sport of "waging war" with airsoft guns, known throughout the world as skirmishing. In essence, airsoft role-playing allows people to fulfill their fantasies, which (due to physical disabilities or circumstances) they never got the chance to do themselves. These people may be bankers, insurance brokers, secretaries, students, or computer programmers by profession, but for one day a week they can be Green Berets, assassins, SWAT members, Navy SEALs, or whatever else.

Top Customer Reviews
The item is mostly plastic, with just the main body surrounded in a light black aluminum type metal and I suppose some of the inner parts, though again I am guessing mostly plastic. The stock is plastic but feels surprisingly tough. Another sling mount or two would be nice, as they are attached to screws and there is a large plastic loop but the metal screw mounts fall off and need a sling with a skinny hook or keyring to make the plastic mount at the back work. I wish the front were more stiff plastic or metal, because the barrel feels like soft plastic so I would advise against resting the gun on it's barrel or smacking it into a wall with too much force. With the barrel being arguably the most important part I look at this as an engineering flaw, but you do get what you pay for.
The "Silencer" attachment I suppose is supposed to make it appear stealthy and add a low-cost feature. It just sucks with it screwed on the BB's lose their trajectory and go way off course. It is a silly peiece of plastic that does nothing obviously to lessen the noise, just makes the gun longer and again the flight path must be hindered in some way or change air in the path of the BB's because I could never get a straight shot with it on, like others have said in their reviews.
The foregrip is nice, though again plastic, feels nice and sturdy though and easily screws on and off. You can adjust it as far as you want on the lower rail. It helps especially firing on auto or lining up shots, along with a better set of sights.
Again this is where the cheapness hits is the sighting system. Luckily enough the Quad rail setup is nice and sturdy and gives plenty of options. The "scope" it comes with is a plastic ACOG-looking reflex scope with a dot but is two plastic lenses which is better off or in the trash.
The iron signs are unlike the model of the firearm which the airsoft product is modeled after, in which there is only an adjustment of "up" or "down" on the rear peice, which is fastened down by a spring and the plastic sight. Whereas the real iron signs are adjustable so that you have options, I could never even get the piece to raise to a comfortable viewing angle.
Luckily enough I have added my own reflex sight as well as a combo flashlight/laser on the rails and would definitely recommend doing that if you are like me and testing the waters looking for a airsoft rifle that is functional comfortable and a good fit for your role on the field.
With my modifications, I can hit bullseye on single shot from about 20 yards each time, with Hop-up enabled. This is using .20 weight 6mm though with .12 6mm BB's I find the hop-up feature throws off the aim, especially any farther than that since they have a tendency to arc upwards before descending anyways. Still, it is nice to have the Hop-up feature on a product of this price point. I'm sure even with hop-up and .12 6mm ammunition you still will want this as a CQB rifle and not anything long range since 200-250fps is barely cutting it when most rifles are shooting at twice that velocity, and with more accuracy.
All in all though, again with the proper modifications and not expecting too much, this is a reasonable product especially for an AEG for less than a hundred brand new. If you are a beginner or for younger player just getting into Airsoft, you probably won't regret it. If you know what you are getting into and want something ready for a battlefield, better off with a rental or second hand mostly metal rifle with way better quality control.
I have have 13 airsoft guns, and another about to ship from a company you should NOT order from (one in world). anyways this is pretty much my best gun. it it very accurate and powerful. the sling is great but i only use it if i am carrying multiple guns or am holding it for a while. the accessory handle is very good, not like the cheap ones you get at local stores. the laser is cool, but mine broke. (the button got pulled off.) the flashlight is good but it also broke after 3-4 months. the scope is very durable and hasnt broken yet. the hop up is pretty much useless unless you turn it sideway and shoot around a corner. then its cool. but otherwise useless. the stock is easily broken if sat on. so is the barrel. dont try to put the silencer on anything but a crosman pulse p70. almost anything else it either wont fit or it will crack it. the ovrall gun is super awesome. i reccomend extra clips and to make it look even cooler take an extra clip and put it upide down on the other clip and electric tape it. or do it the normal way on the side. the gun is very durable and my favorite of all mine. it is awesome. in my airsoft fights my friends wanted to use it. and in my case it stll works fine with all the bad things thta have happened to it. (barrel broke, stock broke, laser broke, flashlight broke, handle lost, front sight cracked) it is still SO awesome. I recomend this highly to people who do close-medium quarters battles. it is very good then. long range battles it loses its accuracy. it loses its accuracy at about 50-70 feet. hope this helped with anyones airsoft gun choices. i even liked this one so much i seriously considered getting another. GET THIS GUN! This is the best mid experience airsoft gun ever (along with the famas). seriously the best.
