this series has its flaws, (the shoujo romance-drama was unnecessary and made me grind my teeth a few times since the whole thing dragged out so long and could have been solved by the two involved actually talking to one another) but overall it gets better and better the further on you go.
theres so much more to the series than the first 12 volumes and the anime cover.
its too bad tokyo pop went under before they could release all 34 volumes in english.
an awesome series and its english run deserves to be completed.
i hope another company picks this one up!!
This volume extends on the last volume. Koyuki tells Maho (rather briefly in my opinion) about what happened on their tour in the U.S. in the anime. Volume 12 of the manga starts to show how BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad got to tour in the U.S., how hard it is for them, and how they met back up with Ryusuke.
This whole manga series is recommended to fans of the anime who want something a little more out of the series they couldn't find in the anime.
Like I said, if you've ever been in a band, dreamed of being in a band, or been a die-hard band groupie, the anime DVD series and this book series is for you!!!!
By the way, Volume 13 is sold out at pretty much every anime website, so good luck finding it!!!
