BEING THE BELIEVING 2.0 Kindle Edition
Do you long for acceptance and approval?
Do you have a desire to make a difference in this world but feel overwhelmed and underqualified?
Do you want God to be pleased with your life?
In Being the Believing 2.0, Thomas McCracken unpacks the Beatitudes, from the greatest sermon ever preached by the greatest preacher who ever lived, Jesus Christ. In doing so, he identifies the difference between doing good and being good—a difference that can change your life.
“God has provided direction and clarity in my life and career. There is a reason this book has a place on the set of my upcoming sitcom Aunt Cissy, and it should be on your desk as well!”
—Kathy Garver, actress known for her role as Cissy on A Family Affair
“Our culture seeks to intimidate Christians into silence, but Jesus’ example shows us that silence is not our only course of action.”
—Sam Sorbo, actress, author, and talk radio host
“When our hearts are clouded with negative thoughts, and bitterness toward others, it will create a separation in our mind, body, and then spirit toward our loving living Father.”
—Jenn Gotzon Chandler, actress, model, motivational speaker, and author
“Despite my physical struggles and some of my darkest times, I’ve never been happier. Inside this book you will discover how I can have such a story!”
—Ann-Marie Murrell, actress, author, political activist and owner of PolitiChicks.com
“As I write this, we are still reeling from losing our 19-year-old son Sean. This book will show you how to overcome any obstacle and receive the comfort you long for in whatever valley you are in.”
—Greg McDougal, award winning singer and songwriter, founder of The Work of a Carpenter Ministries
"Every challenge I’ve faced has led me to a greater understanding of God’s grace. That understanding keeps me looking up, knowing this earthly existence is temporal and God’s gift of eternal life is the greatest hope we have. In Being the Believing 2.0, Pastor Tom tells us all how to have confidence in that very hope.”
—-Dreama Denver, actress, author, founder of West Virginia’s Always Free Honor Flight, president of the Denver Foundation, and widow of Bob Denver (Gilligan’s Island)
In Being the Believing 2.0, you will find discussion questions at the end of each chapter, ideal for home devotions, small group sessions, and church studies. Additionally, www.beingthebelieving.com provides more in-depth videos from the author for each chapter, spaces to share your stories, and many other resources to help you grow in your relationship with God.

words to live by delivered by Jesus Christ. Pastor Tom uses a chapter to cover each and each is sprinkled with quotes from other theologians that reinforce the message. The commentary is designed to cover things that are often misunderstood by people reading scripture. One example is the word “meek.” This is sadly misunderstood as being wishy washy where in the Greek it means control of self, the power within you.
What marks this book as different is that the author divulges his own trek from a non believer to a devout born again believer. There are parts of his own past and many experiences that draw the reader with awe and amazement. One is reminded of the journey C.S. Lewis made and described about his unbelief and the great events in his life that changed him. Pastor Tom weaves commentary with the actual Beatitudes as presented by Jesus Christ as a way to successfully live a life with meaning.
A special feature in the book is that Pastor Tom introduces and runs vignettes by people who have found how faith can change their lives. Several of the chapters have outstanding guest writers telling their own stories. These include Dreama Denver, Greg McDougal, Sam Sorbo, Kathy Garver, Ann-Marie Murell and Jenn Gotzon Chandler. Of special interest to our readers is that Kathy Garver and Jenn Gotzon Chandler are directors for Point North Outreach, our Christian media organization, and Ann-Marie Murrell and Dreama Denver serve on the advisory board. The book itself is introduced by Jonathan Falwell the senior pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Pastor Thomas McCracken additionally has prepared a set of videos to go with each chapter. The book may be purchased on Amazon and we will refer to other places it may be purchased in future places as we highly recommend it.
