"TEN STEPS: The Fast-Track to Solid Self-Confidence," appeared at just the right moment. The previous day I had been talking to a young friend (19 years) about self-confidence, self-worth and self-image. In our conversation we determined that your self-image was developed by building self-confidence. The challenge is ... how do you DO this? We planned on continuing our conversation and tackling that question at a later date.
The information in "Ten Steps" is based on scientific knowledge gleaned from Neuroscience and quantum physics, as well as various branches of psychology. It is easy to read and delineates the ten steps you need to take to improve your self-confidence.
The first step is in realizing "that you CAN recreate your self-image," and that when you do, you can create the life you want to live.
Dr. Jill clearly explains the step you must take, along with the science and rationale behind the steps. Though the steps are easy to understand ... they will take practice and persistence to implement.
This is a "must read" book for anyone who keeps running up against the same barriers in their life, time and time again. If you have kids this will help you help them build a strong foundation of self-confidence and a healthy self-image.

She tells us that people believe they actually are the subconscious collection of other peoples impressions of you.
Think about that that last sentence for a minute as it is very profound....we are what other people have made us.
As such, we can overhaul our self image and change our life as we are not our past history. The Doctor explains how we can overcome these thoughts and live a much happier fulfilled life.
Dr. Wexler is a very good writer who has a way of taking a subject and breaking it down to its basic principles. She is so easy to understand and learn from. This is a short book, which is great, as their is no fluff to wade through. Every page says something important.
Remember...you become what you think. Read this book!

For me personally, I am glad that the content is backed by some science and proven studies - it makes this book stand out more to me than the many other self-help books that I have came across. Many others just state things without any evidence behind them, what's unique about this book for me is the fact that the techniques are proven and time-tested and most importantly, they are written in a practical way that anyone can apply to their life
