The point is read these three books in order because there is multiple references made to the prior books.
I don't recall how I started with this author, but I know that "Second..." was not my first introduction with this writer. What I can say is that after reading the first two in the series, I'm hooked on this author. I like his style of writing.
His protagonist, Bennington, got his start as a political strategist for a candidate running for the US Senate. I don't re-tell story lines in my reviews, but will say that I became fascinated with the process of how one leads a candidate successfully to win election. As you can imagine there is much skulduggery involved there.
The story line had what I call good thread in that I was able to recall what was going on when I had to put the book down for whatever reason. In other words, good reader memory. I hate having to re-read pages to recall where I left off.
There is good character development in those passages where the protagonist, Bennington, is speaking in the first person. The plot was easy to follow, which made this an easy, yet fun, read.
I see where this author has written on other subjects, so I intend exploring some of them after finishing book three.
More Please the second d book in this series is set to come out sometime this month Feb. 2014 and I intend to read it. I love
