I had it for less than 12 months and only used it 4 times or so. It stopped working.

The bigger problem is that they aren't honoring their warranty.

No consistent responses through Skype or Email. Facebook they responded but it's still a dead end.

To calculate watts for DC: watts = voltage x amps
To calculate watts for AC: watts= pf x voltage x amps
Pf for resistive loads 1: this would be a simple motor
Pf for inductive loads average .8 mostly electronic loads or inductive motors.

So far so good. I got this, ran out to my truck, plugged it into the 12v outlet and hooked up my Coleman mattress air pump. Turned it on and away it went. It is not overly large at 6 inches long a little over 4 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall.
Comes with battery clips that have a 22 inch cord and a 12v outlet plug that is 24 in long. It has 4 USB outlets which 3 are 2.4 amps and 1 is 1 amp.
I will update after a few months of use.

Update: 10/21/15 I have used this about 20 times now. At least 10 of those were out on the boat when I needed to air up and down the tow-able tube. This is such a nice setup. I got a cheap little bag to keep everything in. I have also used it for running a stereo off of my diesel truck batteries while out camping. Used it for a running a small air compressor and to run some lights to fix our 4 wheeler out in the dark while out camping and few other things. I am still highly impressed with this little power packed device.

Still works great. I do keep it ina little bag. This thing always rides in my truck now unless it's boating season. Then it still gets used out on the boat.

I was looking for an inverter for a travel trailer to power a AC refrigerator on the road. I calculated I needed roughly 260 watts in 12v DC (figuring in inefficiency) to power a 200 watt AC refrigerator. I wired this inverter right into my trailer's battery. This product includes two fuses, one for input and one for output, but an additional fuse on the feed isn't a bad idea. The kit includes both battery clips and a 12v socket adapter. On the unit itself, either option is affixed using screw terminals. These also accept custom wiring as I did in my situation to power right off the battery.
The unit itself runs quietly and pretty cool. I have it installed in an enclosed compartment and driving in the summer heat I am not worried in the least running this at close to 75% capacity. The USB outlets are a great addition as well.
All in all, I love this inverter and the ability it gives me to run AC appliances off of DC power.

In truth, I'd give the product itself 3-stars as after a month the inverter completely died. It had one job, and that job was to power a Coleman Power-Chill in my vehicle. 400W I felt was enough for an item that uses maximum 120W of power and it was. Suddenly it just stopped working completely, and the fuses were still in check.

Anyways, I'm not upset whatsoever with the fault as the Customer Care from Merry-Go is absolutely phenomenal! I'll be upgrading to a larger inverter, but still a Bestek. For this reason I still give full-stars. With the fault aside, the general build quality, wires and plugs are fantastic quality and won't disappoint. I purchased this unit mainly off the reviews it has, and I wouldn't doubt the performance is great, mine unfortunately was just defective, however I'd still buy another.
