A very bright, very inexpensive, small light. It's focusable and has a strobe mode, but defaults to the beam (click the button twice rapidly to strobe).
I've gotten a couple of these now from various vendors and they're all excellent. Can't beat the price. Mine seems to be a genuine Ultrafire, and works extremely well. Whoever screwed the tailpiece on got the threads quite crossed and so that bit's impossible to remove, but I can still load a battery through the front and the light still has excellent performance. Can't complain.
When my folks saw these, they immediately asked me to buy them some. Lights of this quality sell for ten times that price in the stores around here, and they aren't as small or efficient as this one. This design is good enough that even imitation products work extremely well; they still have the CREE LED and the same circuitry inside. If you've been wondering how far LED lights have come in recent years, get one of these, some size 18650 batteries, and a charger. This is far from the best design, but it's far better than anything I could've bought in stores 20 years ago, short of those 12v lights that run on vehicle power.

The instructions say to use one 14500 battery ( Lithium Ion ) which probably scares many people away because they don't know what they are, or don't have them and a charger for them. It should be posted someplace that a AA battery can be used but that it will not be as bright.

I bought this for $3 a while back to see how it compares to more expensive lights. I have lights from Coast, LED Lenser, Maglite, Dorcey, Coleman, Countycomm, etc. The brightness does not seem like 300 lumens, more like 100-150 to me, but still decent. It has some rings around the main beam of light, as to be expected for a flashlight of this price. I have not used it enough to comment on battery life or durability yet, but I took it out on a camping trip and it held up fine. Overall I was a bit impressed at the value for $3, but not sure I'd pay the current price of $6.99. Makes a good backup or loaner flashlight if you don't want someone to not return on our your nicer ones. Shipping was fast and that was before it was prime.

Very nice for the price. A slightly smaller version of the ones that take a 18650 battery. Free shipping took about two weeks, no complaints with that for the price. Handy little flashlights, with a very good bang (bright) for the buck for its size. I put in 14500 LION right off the bat, which is why I ordered these for home use, because I have the larger version of the ones that use the 18650's at work, and I had two 14500 batteries and a charger that I used for something else until I accidentally smashed it. lol

There are brighter, but larger, lights out there, this one is a great compromise between size and punch, and again, the price is great.
Hope they last, the quality seems very good, but again, for the price, you just can't complain.

The first one of these flash lights I got was given to me by a coworker. I liked it so much I wanted to get one for each member of my family last mont I placed an order for 3 lights on amazon in black from another seller when they made it to me all 3 had been shipped in a bag with no boxes and had been scratched and been banging against each other but they worked. There was a few things that seemed strange to me first there was much smaller rubber seals in them next the battery tube was over sized so much so a cr123a would fit but it was too shot to power the light next I took them apart to see if I could replace the seals and make them feel more like the light I was given and found the lens that focuses the light was loose and would just fall out. Not impressed! So I ordered from this company it got here in a black plastic bag with a shipping label I opened it and was pleased to find it was in a box wrapped in foam. I took it out and dropped an AA battery in and it fit like my first light. The seals are good like my first one and taking it apart found the lens fixed and sealed into the front housing. This light from this company is worth buying but I found the hard way that there are fakes out there for sale

I was in Washington DC on 9/11. Scary day. Since then I always have a flashlight. Or two.
These UltraFire flashlights are wicked bright, even on the LOW setting. The strobe setting gets attention fast. The LED is very easy on batteries.
I've found them to be pretty durable. See photo! Reliable, too. They are cheap enough to be disposable. The red is easy to find. The collar can focus the light to a marvelous degree, with visibility beyond 100 yards. That's just amazing for such a little light and just one AA battery.
Not a bad little defensive item, either. The light is blinding. The flashlight fits nicely in a fist. And the turrets on the forward end leave some visible damage when jammed into skin and twisted.
Don't look like a victim. Carry a good light. You'll find plenty of uses.
No license required. Anywhere.

So buying these lights is a little like gambling, sometimes you get a good one and sometimes not. Sometimes they are as described, and sometimes you wonder what got lost in translation. This was a red flashlight, but that was about it. The one I got uses three AAA batteries, which implies you could use an 18650 cell in it, but it would need a centering sleeve which is not included. The LED layout is not like most of the other ones I've bought, so perhaps it's not a real Cree unit. It is a three mode switch: dim, bright, and flashing, but it doesn't remember (and keep) the last setting used, it just jumps to the next choice. But it's certainly a decent flashlight for the money (I buy them for gifts), although it's usually very hard to tell what you'll be getting.
