Let me preface with saying I already wrote a complaint in my package review. I know, I know - package reviews don't belong in product reviews but I feel they do when the seller is consistently shipping products incorrectly and buyers are at risk of receiving an unusable product. The product description reads "sturdy and durable". Me thinks not...
So yes, this is also a packaging issue but I feel those who are considering to order this product should know. I read reviews yesterday for the taller (6 1/4") version of this cake stand yesterday. I saw that others received their product already broken. They commented on the cheap product for breaking so easily and being poorly packaged. I have to agree with both complaints! Think twice before ordering any of BIA's cake stand. I thought was safe buying this one since it had all perfect reviews. So I spent $5.99 to ship this product overnight and now I just received it broken. As noted, I left my complaint in the package review - item had no protection around it and was placed up right - of course it broke in transit. But I also want to note that upon examination this product isn't anything special. The cake plate (which was still intact) had a few small bubbles and wasn't perfectly smooth. And you can see glue marks underneath where the base was attached. You're taking a big risk ordering this stand. The effort and money I've spent here could have been better invested in a trip to HomeGoods. Which is where I will be tonight trying to find a replacement last minute. So much for saying myself the hassle. You can find a simple white cake stand of the same quality and probably less at any HomeGoods, Marshalls or TJ Maxx. Don't think this stand is any different from the other versions sold here. Buyer beware!

Simple and elegant design for a homemade wedding cake! That was part of our gift to the couple -- making the wedding cake from scratch -- but we also gave them this stand. The bride asked for something simple and white, and this fit the bill -- they loved it. It feels sturdy and solid in a good way -- it's just heavy enough to feel "good" but it's not ridiculously heavy or anything. It came well-packaged. I uploaded a pic of our cake on the stand!

Used it 3 times already and makes everything look great!! Great quality! Heavy and sturdy! Loved it! Will def but another one!!
