When you need it, nothing else will do. I don't use it for the original purpose very often. I use it to mark anything I want white.
Think about it...
Impact sockets that are black, paint the size stamped on the side white and lightly sand off the extra. Have that one socket you use for lugnuts? Paint a couple of stripes on it so you can pick it out of the set and you can tell if it has stopped spinning when it is tight. Paint a couple of rings around that black LED flashlight you can never find in the dark. Do you have a black power button on a black product? Paint a ring around it. Paint a few essential keys on your black keyboard that you can't find in dim light without your bifocals. Enter, shift, Ctrl, or that F key you can never remember which one to use.
it works well, however it has two faults:
-it ages poorly. When this gets old, it clumps and will not go on smoothly.
-it takes some time to dry.
Consider the correction tape if either of these issues are of concern.
Otherwise, this does the job.
