As a black medical doctor myself, I expected it to be the usual talk from black people, get together, bla bla bla, or something just on democratic history, but it is way richer than that. A personal journey of making no excuses, right interpretations, and good thinking and research is what Kevin is all about. A must read for any black person ( or not), wanting to free himself from the silly Negro mindset that America perpetrates. Brilliant! Respects.

In light of today's news, November 4, 2013, Kevin Jackson's book, The Big Black Lie, is a "must read" for anyone who seeks the truth about our history. My thanks to Mr. Jackson for sharing his life story, artfully woven with historical facts as well as his own personal views. His honesty about his family, his beliefs, his successes (and few failures), were heartwarming and uplifting. His writing has provided me with more ammunition for debate on the issues of the day; Abortion, Racism, the attack on Religion; Welfare abuses; and the Democrat/Republican party voting records. His contribution will help the reader toward a better understanding of the problems we face today in America and what we might be able to do about them.

However, this book falls in line with others of its type, tell all truth vs. fiction reads meant to jolt the average American from their stupor and grab them by the head turning the light of truth full in the faces of an unknowing public. By and large this is a wonderful book, definitely along the lines of Tammy Bruce's The New Thought Police: Inside the Left's Assault on Free Speech and Free Minds.
I would highly recommend this to someone who wants first hand knowledge of the current situation Americans find themselves confronted by in the political and their personal lives. This book confronts the fact that racism is an abused term and misused for political gain of a select few. If you enjoy humor and you enjoy the truth, get this book! Kevin's humor is not only outward and obvious, but sometimes subtle. Which makes his book not only enjoyable but eye-opening as well! If you are black, African-american, or negro, you should read this book and be liberated. If you are any other color, let Kevin inform you from an insider point of view, (not so much anymore,) who not only knows how to think for himself, but knows how to relate the deception that is being fed to every color, black, white, flesh tone, tan, brown, sunburned or whatever you wish to call yourself.

Mr. Jackson's story is very illuminating. As I read, I feel as if I'm back in my grandparents' living room listening to family stories. And, though I am a caucasian woman who grew up in Phoenix at a time when anti-Mexican sentiments were more prevalent than anti-black, I find myself reviewing events in my past that have shaped my own point of view on all things racial. I've never met Mr. Jackson, but I feel as if he is a friend. Who knows, maybe we have kindred spirits. The points he makes are profound. I keep inserting bookmarks in the pages I want to re-read and absorb in order to include them in my own dialogue. I find I have to keep putting the book down to go find more bookmarks because all of his words are worth remembering and repeating. Thank you Mr. Jackson.

In some ways, it read as a series of related short stories, and some of them related to how Kevin "Learned the truth" but some of them seemed anecdotal in a sense.
