Mr. Stables hits the nail on the head in this book. Stop thinking. Planning is key. Then, just DO what you've planned out. Simple, short and efficient is what comes to mind when I summarize this book. It doesn't take a hefty planner, a techy scheduler or a personal assistant to shave time off your already too busy life. Now, I am sure that even if you are someone who needs a planner or assistant (and some of us truly do) there is still a ton of tips that will help you get more things done in a day... and those things being what truly NEEDS to get done.
I enjoy Mr. Stables writing style. He uses realistic, relatable examples that you nod your head in agreement with as you read. Each section is clearly laid out and simple to follow. And, each chapter has a beneficial summary at the end. And the chapter on procrastination...well, honestly, as Mr. Stables says, "Procrastination is not there when you are doing something, only before." So take a look at the sixty-second technique he shares with you there. =)
All in all, it is a great guide that I found to be very helpful. I've already started to implement it and have found myself getting more tasks completed and having some extra time. And, with 4 kids at home, that is time I value greatly!
This is well-written and clearly laid out. It is an extremely helpful and practical guide towards efficient time management in prioritizing your tasks, and is loaded with valuable tips, such as performing tasks in order of importance (for example, what tasks produce the most results, and have the best outcome etc). Chapters included are: the reason tasks take longer, the best way to improve your tasks and the simple way to make work easier and more effective, to name 3 of them.
There is a useful summary at the end of each chapter, summarizing the points of that chapter. There are also one or two very simple questions that you can ask yourself (when you look at your list of tasks for the day) that will clarify things in your mind immediately and make the question "in what order do I perform these tasks?" very simple and straight-forward! I've already tried using these and it's made a big difference to my day - the end result being that I know I've done everything to the best of my abilities, with time to spare, and far less stress and pressure!
If you lead a busy life and have lots of responsibilities and tasks you need to accomplish on a daily basis, then GET THIS GUIDE. You will find it invaluable for getting things done in a timely manner, and getting your personal and/or work life in order and back under your control. Highly recommended!!
Certainly I won't use 100% of what the author suggests, sometimes I just like the way I do things. But for a lot of the tasks that I do daily, I'm certain that I can shave off some significant time with the advice provided. Even an extra 30 minutes is welcome, but depending on how inefficiently you currently are working, it could be substantially more time savings.

Simple, short, repetitive. I did not learn anything new but was reminded of the fast writing technique which led me to another book I already had. A 10 minute read.Published on February 1, 2014 by TrishNJ

No wonder the sample was so short and useless. The whole book is. Returned for refund. As the seventh reviewer I can confirm that this author has at least 6 friends. Read morePublished on July 21, 2013 by Amazon Customer
