Assembly was incredibly simple. All I needed was one screw (provided) to attach the handle. Then I just snapped in the attachment hose and popped the attachments into their slots and voila! All together, it took about 6 minutes, and that included the wrangling to get the tape off the box (which was more of an issue than putting the vacuum together, if you believe it).
This machine has really powerful suction. With four doggies, I have issues with a lot of grass tracked in on their paws (and my husband's shoes), but this took one or two swipes to get everything up. It also propels itself forward a little bit, which made the cleaning easier. It was also fabulous for slipping under the couch. The front of the base is flat enough to make it fairly far under the couch, which was really helpful. The canister for the dirt is easy to remove and replace and holds the dirt in a can with an open top for you to dump into the garbage. The only criticism I have for this vacuum would be a retractable cord, but even that I can live without for such a great, affordable machine. I was even impressed with how easily the attachments snapped onto the machine! In some other vacuums, they don't stay put, can't really go where they are supposed to, and fall off. With this machine, they were locked and loaded!
So if you need a powerful vacuum but don't have a lot of money to blow, or you need a good gift for a bridal shower or new home owner, go for this vacuum. It is cheap, easy to assemble, and a powerful vacuum. I was really impressed! By far the best vacuum I have checked out all year!
The pickup-suction on carpeting has been excellent. With 5 height settings (more than the typical 3 settings that every other vacuum I'be owned has had) it can be set to clean everything from bare floors to shag carpets. I've found the 3rd setting to be the best for average pile carpet, still easy to push and yet good suction.
I took the vacuum over to my mother's house across town to try it out, because she has ceramic tile throughout her entire home, and mentioned at some point she needed to borrow my vacuum to clean her large area rugs. She mentioned that that the vacuum she has wouldn't pick up the sand and fine dirt that gets tracked in; it just spits it around. So after vacuuming her large area rug, we picked up her small area rugs to expose the sand, and tried out the bare floor setting on the ceramic tile floors. It did a great job of picking it up; better than any other vacuum she has used.
The edge cleaning with this Bissell works especially well. This feature is where most vacuums lose points with me. This model cleaned right up to the baseboard on both carpet and bare floors. It didn't leave the large gaps around the walls on any of the floor types I tried it on.
The handheld hose and attachments are easy to use, just pull the hose lose and choose your attachment. There no release button required on this Bissell, like there is on some models.Read more ›
1. Extra long power cord.
2. Quieter model.
3. Easy assembly.
4. No settings to change. (except height for floor)
5. Two filters.
6. Light on front.
7. Super easy to empty dirt container.
8. Extra attachments.
9. Wide base to clean carpet.
10 Fairly lightweight.
1. The cord on the hose wand isn't quite long enough.
2. A little difficult to vacuum area rugs. The suction is strong and picked up the rugs.
The vacuum has a light in the front, which I find very useful. I often times have to vacuum late at night, or clean areas where the light comes in handy. The light also works to help you see dirt or smears on glass doors that you might have missed. The hose is pretty long and comes with many attachments. I used the TurboBrush to remove some dog hair from pillows. It worked fine but stopped a few times. I think the brush does this to avoid catching things, sucking them up and damaging them. The hose is a little tight, and the vacuum almost fell on top of me while I was trying to clean the sofa. Maybe it will loosen up after more use, but this is not the first Bissell I have had that problem with either.
The canister is very easy to remove and put back. There is no residue or caught hair at the top near the filter. (I have had this problem with other models.) The tools fit nicely where they are supposed to go, though the hose sometimes feels awkward while I am vacuuming. This could be due to my height, but I've never noticed it before with the other vacuums.
The 92L31 did a fine job of picking up dirt off of the kitchen floor on the lowest setting.Read more ›

I own a $1200 Kirby and it sits in the closet because this vacuum (Bissell) works 100x better. Highly recommend it!Published 17 months ago by whirlgirl
This vacuum didn't last very long. It has already lost suction and making a horrible noise. Most vacuums should last more than 1 1/2 years. Read morePublished 17 months ago by Mary Ann Wooten
Have had this for a while. I love it. Is a bit noisy, but works fine and absorbs lots of dust and dirt.Published 19 months ago by Luis G. Rodriguez

Great vacuum with a very long cord length I have never had a problem with it but the little vacuuming attachment it comes with falls apart anytime I try to use itPublished 20 months ago by Jeff
