The BLACK & DECKER BV6600 High Performance Blower/Vac/Mulcher features a 250 mph blower that blows through leaves and debris with ease. This unit is 50% Quieter for less noise during blowing (Maximum noise level compared to Black & Decker model LH4500 utilizing EN ISO 3744 sound measurement test procedure). An easy-empty reusable leaf bag design saves time and effort and includes 3 disposable bags: simply tie and toss for quick, easy cleanup. This blower is ideal for clearing driveways, sidewalks, decks and garages of debris and fall leaves from yard and the heavy-duty vacuum is ideal for vacuuming leaves, grass clippings, twigs, pine needles and other lawn debris. Includes: (1) BV5600 Motor Head, (3) Disposable Leaf Bags, (1) Diffuser for use with Disposable Bags, (1) Detachable Shoulder Strap, (1) Concentrator, (1) Blow Tube, (1) Vacuum Tube, EZ-Empty Reusable Bag Assembly.

It's powerful (sucking or blowing). Light enough to be used easily. Here's the problem: the leaf collecting bag (when you're vacuuming them up) is attached with a little plastic cylinder. One presses a button on the unit to drop the bag off. I've used it a total of three times over the past 3 months. From the start, the bag would stick -- I don't know if it's a problem with the button, or some extra piece of plastic somewhere is getting hung up, but it would take a minute of fidgeting with it to get the bag to finally release. It got progressively worse. Today, on the third use, the thing finally refused to come off. I'm fairly mechanically handy and I spent about 10 minutes trying both mechanical and force-based approaches to get it off -- no luck. Then my wife, who has a degree in both Mechanical Engineering and Rocket Science (astronautics and aeronautics), and who has designed and built and fixed thousands of pieces of equipment, spent 10 minutes working on it -- literally just trying to get the plastic sleeve to release when one presses the release button -- but it's locked on there. With that plastic sleeve locked on, it can't be used as a blower (the blower attachment goes there), and without the ability to remove and empty the leaf bag, the utility of the unit is zero.
Quite literally, this design flaw (or manufacturing flaw if it's a problem with fit and finish work) has rendered the unit unusuable after about 3 hours worth of use.
Incredibly disappointing, but please save yourself this frustration and don't buy this.
It does do the job of sucking up and mulching your leaves. The mulching blade seems to be pretty solid and made of a metal material, not plastic. Over all, if mulching the leaves is your main desire and you are able to handle the weight, I would recommend this except for seniors.

It has plenty of power but during the first use I discovered leaves all tangled around the unfinished black material at the top entrance to the black bag. Next, the bag started to pull away from the plastic collar. Had to fix that with my own zip ties.
Before the end of the first use, ( filled and emptied bag maybe 8 times), the stitching on the bottom of the bag where the channel slides on to close the bag, is all coming loose. I can’t use the darned thing anymore till I take a needle and thread and mend this part too.
If you aren’t a handyman & just wanna clean up your yard, stay 29 miles away from this product.
IF YOU BUY THIS MACHINE , YOU WILL HAVE A JOB ON YOUR HANDS . TOTALLY PISSED OFF !!!!!!!!!!
The good is that it's more powerful than a previous version I had and the sweeper head for the blower works great.
The bad is that it is awkward to change from blower to vac and back again. There seems to be no good way to hold it securely while performing this task. I've dropped it several times while doing this. Fortunately it was on the lawn so no damage done but that could be worse if I'd dropped it on the driveway. Also, you need a screwdriver or similar tool to release the fan cover when changing back to vacuum.
