Breakfast is a snap with the large non-stick cooking surface, with temperatures variable from warm to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. When it's time to clean-up the immersible griddle, the grease has been channeled into the removable, dishwasher safe grease cup.

Top Customer Reviews
There's some hate going on in the reviews for this product and not all of it is justified. The gripes worth consideration: yes the cord is very short, so you might need an extension if you don't have a convenient outlet. And yes the bottom heats up quite a bit. It's a budget cooking item and this isn't really a gripe just something you need to be aware of you don't nuke your table.
A lot of the other reivews complain about inconsistent cooking or problems with the temperature setting. I feel like that's kind of a weird gripe considering that's true of all electrical heating elements. Just look at the bottom to see where the coils are and plan accordingly. Also let the thing pre-heat and radiate heat throughout and it'll be just fine. Eggs, bacon and pancakes are all easily done and not having to contend with the edge of a pan is so nice.
Probably the best part for me is being able to make pancakes for my daughter and myself and not have to choose between waiting for mine to finish while she eats or trying to keep the first batch warm in the oven. Read the instructions, preheat and enjoy!

Update: my meal prep go to!
On the downsides, the drip tray only holds about half cup of liquid which is really too small which frying foods with lots of fat and grease like bacon. You will need to be constantly emptying the tray while using something else to catch the grease that comes down. Also make sure to use the griddle on a heat safe surface. I used it on my smooth top stove.
In regards to the heat distribution, remember this is griddle is less than $30. Has a click and lock thermostat with temperatures up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. It would be fair to say that the Black and Decker Family Size Griddle has mediocre heat distribution, but most electric griddles don't heat up perfectly in this price range.
Makes a great griddle to take along to camping, hunting and fishing trips.
Overall the only positives I can say is that this griddle is large and inexpensive. It is a cheap way to cook large quantities of food. If you want a griddle that has better heat distribution and offers better features than be prepared to spend quite a bit more and look for another brand.
Summary - We used to use a Presto 07030 Griddle and that one still worked well but the Teflon coating was coming off leaving us in need to get a new one. We got this one on black Friday for under $15 and it was a no brainer to order and try!
To keep this as an easy read, here is what I like and did not like about it.
-Heat was uniform and we did not have any hot spots so far with our use.
-Cord is easy to connect and set.
-Entire unit is easy to clean, light weight and has a nice size foot print. (You get a lot of working area and yet it is easy to store on top of our cabinets.)
-Is advertised as dishwasher safe which is cool. I personally wash mine as soon as I use it, but good to know I can throw it in there if I wanted to.
-The coating is in fact non stick and nothing seems to stick so far.
-Unlike my last griddle which had a channel only in the front for grease to run off, this has a channel that goes across the front and a little up each side to begin the process of draining earlier.
-Cord is short and I have to use a 12" extension to reach our counter top outlets. (This seems to be with all griddles I have used so far.)
-Grease tray is 1/2 the size of the past griddle. The presto could fry up an entire lb of bacon and need one empty. This will require two which is kind of a pain if you are not careful.
Note - It has only been used a few times so far so long term durability is to be determined. I got about 1 to 1 1/2 yrs on my presto. As with all my reviews, I will update this review should it develop issues such as uneven heat or Teflon - sticking issues, etc.
