I purchased this griddle as a basic addition for weekend breakfasts because I was tired of having to wash multiple pans just to make a decent meal. What I love about it is ...

- It's light but durable
- The plug / cord is solid and well made
- Heats evenly
- Was able to use on a regular counter top
- Great non-stick surface
- Easy to wash off in the sink

There were a few things that I found to be bothersome about the griddle, but not a deal-breaker ...
- The griddle tends to slide easily ... Rubber feet on it would be a great benefit
- The cord is rather short so has a tendency to limit where you can plug it in for use
- The grease catcher didn't look quite full, yet pooled an ounce or two of grease on the counter before I realized it was there

Decent price for a decent product!

Heats quickly with no "hot spots", which was a problem with our previous electric griddle. Generously sized "fat trap", too. Can do everything on this - fry bacon, fry eggs, make grilled cheese, cook burgers...just use nonmetal cookware and wipe it down good afterward. With six mouths to feed I find myself gravitating to this because of the large surface area.

Sadly I am very disappointed in this griddle. It cooks extremely uneven. I made two rows of pancakes and on both rows half of the pancake was burnt and the other side was barely cooked.
I also found the power source extremely hard to connect. You have to put it in at an angle to get it to work.

I made some pancakes on here, they were awesome! It's well made and was a great price! If you dont have one, get this one...It will cook your food just as well as it cooked mine! It's pretty big too, so you can make several things at once.

Pros: Decent griddle for the price
Cons: I found that it doesn't keep the temp stable. A bit of uneven heating. Dial is difficult to read so it is a bit challenging to tell what temp you are setting. Not terrible but not easy to see at a glance. Pancakes came out very light even on the high setting. Used it 4 times.

Easy to clean, cooks evenly in my experience. The only issue is that I think the heat gauge is misleading; I have to turn it lower than I expect by a good 50 degrees.

This is a review of the Black and Decker GD2011B Family Size Griddle.

Summary - We used to use a Presto 07030 Griddle and that one still worked well but the Teflon coating was coming off leaving us in need to get a new one. We got this one on black Friday for under $15 and it was a no brainer to order and try!

To keep this as an easy read, here is what I like and did not like about it.

Pros
-Heat was uniform and we did not have any hot spots so far with our use.
-Cord is easy to connect and set.
-Entire unit is easy to clean, light weight and has a nice size foot print. (You get a lot of working area and yet it is easy to store on top of our cabinets.)
-Is advertised as dishwasher safe which is cool. I personally wash mine as soon as I use it, but good to know I can throw it in there if I wanted to.
-The coating is in fact non stick and nothing seems to stick so far.
-Unlike my last griddle which had a channel only in the front for grease to run off, this has a channel that goes across the front and a little up each side to begin the process of draining earlier.

Cons
-Cord is short and I have to use a 12" extension to reach our counter top outlets. (This seems to be with all griddles I have used so far.)
-Grease tray is 1/2 the size of the past griddle. The presto could fry up an entire lb of bacon and need one empty. This will require two which is kind of a pain if you are not careful.

Note - It has only been used a few times so far so long term durability is to be determined. I got about 1 to 1 1/2 yrs on my presto. As with all my reviews, I will update this review should it develop issues such as uneven heat or Teflon - sticking issues, etc.

OK... so it is an electric griddle. There is not much to say about it other than it does what it is supposed to do and does it really well. I will say that the frame on the outside is very sturdy and well built. Too many brands have very flimsy legs. This one should last very well for a very long time.

Our daughter is gluten-free, so we purchased this so she could fix her food without fear of gluten contamination! Much easier to fix dinner for the family now!

Durable and easy to clean. Bought it for a pancake breakfast at school and ended up grilling hot dogs on it the same day for my end of year party for my students. It heats up nicely and is easy to clean. I will be using this for a lot of things from now on.
