180 RPM helps you drive screws flush--and fast.
Compact design is especially useful when assembling furniture. View larger.
Great for a range of household tasks, from assembling furniture to hanging pictures, mounting shelves, and much more, this screwdriver will quickly become your favorite go-to tool.
What makes the LI3100 so versatile is its compact design that allows you to access the hard-to-reach areas that other screwdrivers simply can't.
Even though it's amazingly compact, the LI3100 doesn't skimp on power. It operates at 3.6 volts and provides 180 RPM to drive screws flush--that's 40% more torque than the Skil Ixo II. Never too much or too little, the LI3100 always gives you the right amount of muscle for the job.
Ready When and Where You Need It
Thanks to Black & Decker Lithium Batterytech technology, the LI3100 offers reliable power when and where you need it. This cordless screwdriver will stay charged and ready to use for up to 18 months without recharging and comes with a charger that's Energy Star rated.
Designed with You in Mind
The L1300 has several features that were designed with your comfort in mind. To start, this screwdriver has a soft-grip universal handle that allows for a full-hand or three-finger (body-wrap) grip. Additionally, a bottom pivoting trigger with upper hook eliminates finger dragging on the housing, and signature microtexturing guides correct finger placement. What's more, an intuitive forward/reverse indicator bar is ergonomically positioned on the back of the motor.
And for easy operation in a variety of conditions, this screwdriver features an integrated LED cannon light that angles toward the bit/screw.
The LI3100 is backed by a two-year warranty.

-This screwdriver has enough power to do tasks. for example i have driven 2 screws into masonary after pre-drilling with a corded drill. also i have once driven a 1/8 inch drill bit into a 2x4.
-the battery on this thing is nice for doing about 10-50 screws depending on the job. also it has good shelf life, i can basically pick it up and use it anytime without waiting for it to charge with is important on an item like this
-ergonomics is good, led light is helpful
-screw bits may fall out
-works with normal screw bits
-size makes it easy to use where normal screwdrivers wont fit
Overall this is a nice upgrade for plain screwdrivers but you still need a drill.
I love my cordless Makita drill, but every time I need to use it, it has to be charged first - not exactly convenient. I bought my dad a small lithium-ion driver last year and got a chance to use it when I helped him with a project. It keeps its charge for over a year and is pretty powerful for a compact driver. So, I decided to purchase this B&D driver. I charge it once and store it. Then, when I need it, it's ready to go. It keeps a charge during most small projects and has enough torque to drive 2" screws into concrete. The LED light is an added plus. My only complaint is that the included bits cannot be attached or stored on the driver when not in use. This makes it easy to lose one of the bits. Other than that, it works great!
During my search, this B&D LI3100 model caught my eye. However, please note that Amazon's Technical Details listing is incorrect: the LI3100 does not have a multi-postion handle nor does it have an adjustable clutch (for further details, check the B&D website [...]). Based on reviews that I have read on other sites (only one review here on Amazon), this still appears to be a very handy screwdriver (hence my presumptive 5-star rating). However, if you want a lithium-ion battery, plus the adjustable handle and clutch (as I do), you'll need to keep looking.
P.S. I note that many of the reviews for similar rechargeable screwdrivers criticize the limited torque/power of these units. Please remember that these are "cordless screwdrivers" - not "cordless drills". You can't use one of these to build a deck, but they are very handy for a host of other uses: hanging pictures, attaching/removing fixtures, and many other handy-man jobs.
