I love this thing - it is so lightweight and easy to use. It's downright fun to transform it from a string trimmer to a mower and back. It handles everything I need it to in my small front and back yards and the whole unit is lighter than the string trimmer I used to have. In tight spots, I can just pick up the whole unit to turn it around rather than the three point turn I used to do with my very heavy reel mower. It's easy to hose down the mower dock after use. I love this thing!

I wish I could give this 10 STARS! I have a backyard with a walkway to the pool, numerous flower areas besides the raised boxes for veggies and also a fish pond. This mower/trimmer makes it so easy to take care of this unusual setup. I don't need to bump it to get the string out, it just reloads as you go. I can switch from mowing to trimming by just stepping on the lever. I purchased an extra battery that has double the use time. It's a little heavier with that battery but not a burden. I use the 4.0 battery and one of the 2.0 each time I mow but still have power left when I'm finished. I also have a screwdriver that uses the same batteries; thus that is why I purchased an extra. You can go over things that you couldn't with a real mower (it's a weed wacker on wheels) so you don't have to be afraid of any blade breaking. This would be perfect for a small yard or for someone elderly who doesn't want to deal with a gas powered mower. Just an incredible product. Here's a photo of my complicated area.

I bought this unit because I needed a small, lightweight mower that I could transport back and forth to my mom's house. I'm happy it came with two battery packs but it turns out my job is small enough that I only need one. So far, this little guy fit my needs; I can lift it with one hand and use it as a trimmer and edger. Below are my thoughts on each feature:

MOWER

This was my primary concern. I only have to mow a very small patch of lawn. It's brand new grass, but it's grown so long. That said, the mower did well on areas that it trimmed; but rows of grass got pressed flat by the wheels, so those blades did not get cut by the trimmer. I wouldn't blame the mower for that, because I can't see that any mower could reach blades that are lying flat. I suppose as the grass blades thicken up and stand up better, I will have less problem with that. What I did in the interim was mow like I was pushing a vacuum cleaner with one hand while raking the grass blades upright with the other. The blades that were cut were even to the ground but they look somewhat swirled.

The platform can be adjusted but that's nowhere to be seen in the manual. I only knew about it because of a sticker placed on the platform, but it's not immediately clear how to do that. You have to reach under and pull the axle. There is only low and high and it comes set on high. I like the default setting.

The handle also telescopes. That is not in the instructions, either, but I played around with it, figuring there's no way they only want short people to use this thing. Basically, you unlock the handle like you want to tilt the head but instead, pull the handle out.

TRIMMER

Changing from mower to trimmer to edger and back is super quick and easy. It's one of the best things about this combo. The trimmer action itself is superb. I have no complaints.

EDGER

Ditto for the edger. It converts easily from edger to trimmer and vice versa, and it cuts like a dream.

OVERALL IMPRESSION

Because I have to push like a vacuum cleaner, I wouldn't recommend this as a mower for large areas. That would be too inefficient. Small areas like what I have are fine. The trimmer/edger works like any other trimmer/edger, so if you want something primarily for trimming/edging, I highly recommend this unit.

It does what it is supposed to do, and by not having a chord or a gas motor, maneuverability with its small size. The lawnmower function is a plus, but manage your expectations before you buy it for that purpose. We have a 130 square foot front yard and that's barely enough for the one battery charge to handle. It also does not have a wide footprint so you'll be moving back and forth a great deal in order to get that job done. I definitely recommend purchasing a second battery to finish the job. Its ability to turn into an edger puts it ahead of most weeders. I like it, but I don't love it. Updated: Recently, the spool stopped working properly and it will no longer feed the line automatically. Several times, I've had to manually unwind the string, but that got very old. I'm now moving it from 4 stars to 1 star.

So far, I am very impressed! I live in Colorado, where it is hilly and uneven and rocky. There are places I just can't push a lawnmower, or ride a riding mower. This little machine fits the bill so far! I'm able to easily push it uphill in the "mowing" position, and quickly switch to trimmer when I need to. The batteries don't last all that long, but it comes with 2 batteries, and you can order more. The convenience of this machine outweighs that little inconvenience for me. The trimmer is quite powerful, and is so much lighter than a gas trimmer. I haven't had any trouble with the trimmer cord, and it really does feed itself without having to bump it, like we used to have to do. I had a friend who laughed at it when she watched me unbox it, but after she used it, she was a believer!

Works great around shrubs and difficult areas. I never had any problems with it on first use. The battery stood up better than I expected. It cut through grass taller than I should have allowed.

My wife wants to use it too. I think I'll let her. :)

Be careful unpacking. The batteries are in their own box but it might get dropped while grabbing stuff out of the big box. Dropping is 'bad' for Lithium Ion batteries.

We have a small yard and i needed something small, light and easy to assemble. And affordable! I tackled 6 inch tall grass with this beast! Our lawn is not well manicured or even therefore there were bumpy areas but this was a great purchase. It does the job.
I love that I don’t need gas or to plug it in. Comes with two batteries. I’d say each lasts 15 minutes fully charged.
Well worth the money.

Good little mower / trimmer for hard to deal with spaces. I like this device because I have a large property with lots of lawn, some ditches and woodsy areas. I have a lawn tractor for the grass but couldn't use it on the ditches and edges of stonework, etc. This little guy solves the problem. I did not want just a trimmer because the last one I had was so heavy it was difficult to use. This device is really easy to remove from the base, very light to hold, and I can also use it as a mower in sloped areas with longer grass.

The only drawback I have found is very long tough grass uses up the trimmer wire very quickly - I had to change it about every 30 seconds - minute when trying to clear an extremely overgrown area. That was not the case on regular long green grass.

This is such a handy unit. We live in a townhouse with a 20'x20' backyard and can do the lawn in about 15-20 minutes.
It is super easy to detach the weed whip / edge trimmer from the mower wheels (just one click, can do it with your foot). The biggest flaw is that it doesnt mow the best in longer grass. You have to go over it a few times. This isnt a big deal for a small back yard that typically only has a few spots that are longer, but if you have a larger yard, this wouldnt be a good mower for you. And just in case you didnt know, this is just a weed whip with a mower cover - not a "real" lawn mower.

If you have anything but a SMALL yard, and intend for this to be your principle lawnmower, better think again. The batteries don't last long enough, and the cutting circumference isn't large enough for this product to be truly effective for even two medium-sized yards (assuming front and back).

That being said, this product is fantastic in many ways. It is lightweight, maneuverable and extremely versatile. It transforms from a mini-mower to a weed-whacker and back again in seconds, without having to bend down. Just quick-release the mower housing with the durable foot-pedal and whack away, then snap it right back in with ease. I have a gas mower that I use for most of my lawn, front and back, but this little guy gets into all the hard to reach places and is great for little touch-ups and mowing over dandelions and other pesky things that grow faster than your grass.

It's also nice to know that you've got a back-up plan in case your primary lawnmower breaks down. This little mower could now large lawns, it would just take a lot longer, and require more battery charges. So if you do decide to use this mower as your main machine with a bigger property, consider buying more batteries and a charger that can charge multiple batteries at once. With enough batteries and time, this diminutive machine could cut a golf course I am sure.

If you have a tiny lawn, then you must have this tiny mower. It is super convenient and is surprisingly powerful. Just keep both your batteries charged all the time, and you'll love it.

It does everything it claims to do. Five stars.
