The beaters will cause your dough to creep up the beaters and into the holes of the machine. I think it is a result of the strange shape of the beaters. We were trying to make banana bread and it refused to mix it in the bowl.

Received yesterday so this may be premature, but want to go ahead and make note that the color is not as pictured. It's not a screen issue, because the box shows the same color as my screen did, but the mixer itself is a much brighter teal. It's teal, but not the deep, dark, classier looking shade. It's a nit-picky thing, I know, but for what it's worth, there it is.

Beyond the color, the actual mixing arms are plastic. I guess you can tell from the pictures, but I didn't realize. I'm not a fan of cooking with anything plastic due to the chemicals (hormone disrupting and cancer causing), but in this case I don't think it will be such a bug deal. My concern is their sturdiness. I'm afraid they'll break at some point. They seem sturdy even for plastic, but ya never know. There is a trick to getting them into the mixer slots also. And my primary issue, is that they're short. I made mashed potatoes last night, and got them on the mixer because the arms are so short that I accidentally had the mixer body too close to the potatoes, plus they splattered up onto the mixer and got in the crevices around the slots for the mixing arms. Wasn't very pleased with that.

However, all that being said, I like it. I love the case that attaches to it, and it looks pretty cool, not that that really matters. It sits back steadily too, and that's a great thing in a hand mixer. And probably most importantly, there were no lumps in the mashed potatoes.

This mixer is ok, I do like the helix beaters and the fact they wont scrape up my bowls, but over all this is a very moderate quality mixer. I also had one beater with a slight wobble so save all packaging to return if you end up with one like mine. The motor runs strong and powerful and not noisy or super loud. The body of the mixer has a slight cheap plastic feel to it. The cord is stiff and not very long, not a nice rubbery quality cord. I was really disappointed and hoped this would be a better quality mixer. But it will do.

It may not seem logical to give a mixer 5 stars because it's so neat and tidy when not in use, but there you have it. Oh, sure, it's a very good hand mixer. Powerful for its size, with three different attachments, 2 helix beaters for mixing, 2 dough hooks, and one wire whisk, it's as good as or perhaps better than any hand mixers I've had in the past (and my past is very long).

The shape of the reinforced-nylon helix beaters is supposed to maximize your mixing surface area and mixing performance and they worked fine for me, although I couldn't really tell you if it was 2X the performance of my previous mixers. I can say that the motor is a bit more powerful at 250 watts. The other two hand mixers in my kitchen both have 200-watt motors. And the motor runs at 5 speeds, with a turbo boost option at any of the speeds.

But, again, good as this mixer may be at mixing and beating, it's the storage case that takes it over the top for me. All the accessories and the cord fit nicely into the bottom and the mixer itself snaps on at the top as the cover. Great for putting away and not losing any of the pieces.

The beaters collect dough which gets stuck in blades and at top of the stem of beater. I had to stop several times and unclop the butter and sugar as I tried to cream them for a cake. When I switched to Turbo, I blew the circuit breaker!! I have a fairly new kitchen; never blew a switch before. Went back to my old Sunbeam to finish the cake and had no problem. I wanted to like this, but very disappointed.

Just bought the mixer today. Definitely on the cheaper side looking and feeling. I know it wasn't expensive, but the main beaters are cheap plastic. Not sure how durable they really will be down the road. Kind of disappointed in this purchase.

Edit- I am returning the mixer. The first time I used it(mixing brownies) I noticed the one side was incredibly wobbly and a weird smell came out of the motor when on. Second time I used it(mashing potatoes) it didn't mash them well and I noticed that same odd smell again.

I am a long time baker owning a heavy duty stand mixer but purchased this model for quick recipes. The mixer itself is well built and sturdy but I must say, the motor is not a pleasant hum. It is a high pitched noise that makes me anxious to turn the mixer off before my ingredients are fully mixed. It's unpleasant. Also, a large amount of mixed ingredients stay on the beaters at high speed when attempting to finish the mixing job. There are nurmerous nooks and crannies to clean out. Too time consuming! They would probably clean well in a dishwasher cycle but for a quick clean up in a sink of water, clean up takes longer than stainless steel beaters. Certainly useable but I am disappointed.

I impulsively bought this mixer after it wa spit on Oprah’s Favorite Things. I’d been wanting a hand mixer for a while and this one was inexpensive enough that I figured, even if it breaks I’m not out a ton of money. I purchased the turquoise and it is much more blue in person, but I like it! I’ve had it less than a week and I already used it to whip up some macarons - flawless! Super easy to use and I liked the helix mixers. I’d totally recommend this purchase based on the fact that all attachments stay with the mixer, but it also worked very well!

I am a baker and although alot of bakers or others love there stand mixers I prefer to use a hand mixer for most jobs. This handmixer is the best. The attachments don't get rusty like all the other mixers I've had and when I'm mixing in a metal bowl it doesn't clank off the sides but it feels like it's a smooth mix. It's so easy to clean and then store. I love it and would definitely recommend this to anyone. Now I want one in a different color.

First of all I’d like to say that I only ever owned the cheapest grocery store brand mixers that costed me around 10-15 bucks and they all worked till the day they died. I never thought mixer needed to be a fancy appliance. So I thought this one would be a small step up, but it’s not. Or at least not a whole lot. The "step up" would be: different tools that go with it, case for the tools that snaps on and nice looking design. The "what is expected” part - it woks, speeds and all. The “step down” part (I did not expect any “step down” parts from my 10$ no name mixer, so those are real bummers). There is no eject button to get the blades out, so you have to get in there with your clean hand and pull those out. If your batter is slightly thicker than crepe batter it will ride up on your blades and ball up somewhere up top. Plastic covering blades does not help our batter slide out back into the bowl. All in all, you decide if you are in it for the looks or the practicality in the kitchen.

I never in my life encountered such a stiff cable... it's more like a pole is attached to the mixer and it gets in the way of everything and can push things off of the counter if you are not careful... or it can suddenly act like a lever and push the mixer around counter to your intentions. cheap cheap cheap cheap wire... shame shame shame.

Also it comes with an awkward storage bucket that the mixer cradles on... The attachments go in there and so would the power cable if it was flexible enough.

It is so upsetting to see such a nice product get ruined by a cheap cheap power cable. I do not recommend this

This is a terrible mixer. I always made cookies with my old handmixer. This one, I kept having to stop to scrape the top of the beaters so as unmixed ingredients kept getting stuck on top of the allegedly vainted helix design and at the end of the recipe the motor can't handle the dough (a lightweight drop cookie that my olf black and decker powered through fine). Do not recommend.
