****Update April 26**** Thise phone is still magnificent. No problems yet and it is running as smooth as any other phone out there. Can't believe I got such a great device for so cheap. Definitely not a rip off.
Phone arrived by USPS priority mail today. Apparently (at least for this model) when you order one, it is shipped from China to Amazon first (probably a consolidated shipment with with several other items.) When Amazon US gets it they then charge your account and ship it it on to you (the buyer.)
This specific phone was listed on Amazon as "used with slight package damage." The package damage turns out to be an inconsequential wrinkle in the corner of the box that the phone is packed in at the factory. All the seals were intact on the box, and for all intents and purposes, this appears to be a brand new, unused, undamaged phone. The normal price for this model is around $250 on Amazon.com, so the $150 price for the slightly wrinkled box you are going to discard anyway makes it a really great bargain -- a savings of $100.
The phone really is a full dual SIM, quad-band phone, software switchable, with a separate microSD card. It is IMHO the perfect dual-country phone for those with two "home" countries. Also perfect for those who want to be able to switch US carriers back and forth. Won't work with CDMA carriers (Verizon.)
The screen is a full 6.0 inches, full HD 1080p (1080 x 1920 pixels ~367 ppi pixel density), and runs on KitKat (Android 4.4.2). No word from BLU whether this model will be eligible for upgrade to Android 5. It has a FM radio. The included User Manual is small print, rather brief, and does not cover all the phones features. But there is a voice tutorial link on the phone that you can activate. Full phone specs given here: http://www.gsmarena.com/blu_studio_6_0_lte-6900.php
I purchased this phone to run on TracFone's BYOP program. I haven't activated this phone yet because it is a long holiday, and I will be porting my wife's phone number from Verizon to AT&T, which too often doesn't happen during long holidays. Also I want to use TracFone's executive number to make the transfer. I have no qualms about the activation process.
UPDATE: I have successfully activated this phone with TracFone BYOP program.
